Because all the other information was nonfunctional, here's a step by step process so that I don't forget the next time.

The Guide:
Step 1: Download the Automap mod of choice from Moddb (Wiz6, Wiz7)

Step 2: Extract and open the file, navigate to the DosBox folder.

Step 3: Open a separate explorer window to the dosbox_windows folder of the game you're trying to mod.

Step 4: In dosbox_windows, rename "dosbox_wizardryX.conf" to "dosbox_wizardryX.conf.bak" and "dosbox.exe" to "dosbox.exe.bak". You can also delete these if you want, but renaming them saves you from having to re-download them. The X in the filename could be either a 6 or a 7

Step 5: Copy all the contents of the mod's DosBox folder into steam's dosbox_windows folder.

Step 6: Rename the .conf file that corresponds with the game (either 6 or 7) you copied over to "dosbox_wizardryX.conf", replacing the X in the file name with the correct number.

Step 7: Open that dosbox_wizardryX.conf (I recommend using notepad++), scroll all the way to the bottom, and replace [autoexec] and EVERYTHING BELOW IT with what you find in "dosbox_wizardryX_launch_windows.conf" that should also be in your folder.

Step 8 (Optional): The mods come with a rather ugly rescaler enabled by default which I do not care for. To fix this simply Ctrl+f for "scaler" within dosbox_wizardryX.conf, and replace what's after the = with "normal3x".

Now once you launch your game through steam it should open two windows, with one displaying the game and one that will start mapping once you start a run. Enjoy.
