I often look for games to create guides on, assisting players with a walk through on getting achievements for those games, or other guides that may be relevant to the game. In the case of Asurya's Embers, I could not even get the game to load, and thought that maybe a guide to get past this for others having the same issue may be helpful for those finding the game.

Shortly after installation, I clicked play on Asurya's Embers and I had a pop up tab showing me a driver page on the Nvidia website. This clued me in that this likely wasn't going to run on my system, at least not without a driver update. You may or may not have a Nvidia graphics card, however, you may still run into the Black Screen Of Death, as they call it, when you load a game and it does nothing. I at least had seen a part of a developer logo before it showed up for me. In short, if you are seeing nothing but blackness, see if a driver update will work for you.

Their are only 5 achievements for this game which should make the game easy enough to unlock them all. I am not doing a guide on these achievements, unfortunately, because I don't intend to upgrade my drivers for it, or attempt to and find out my system is just too old for this newly developed indy game. If you need assistance with the achievements, see the section below.

I should also mention that because this is a newer indy developer, their store page has limited profile features. This basically means that achievements for their games will not show up on our steam profiles, at least not until they have enough of a following for their games to unlock these features.

This is the first guide created for Asurya's Embers on Steam! It also looks like this might be the first game for the Indy Studio that published it. Thanks to SMU Guildhall for giving us another Free to Play game to check out. Good luck with your future game development projects.
