Spearhead 1944 - ACE Items

Description
We must be the great arsenal Democracy

This mod was created to provide an immersive experience for any WWII modlist using assets from the Spearhead 1944 and includes 2 custom models.

This mod REPLACES a lot of models and images of items from ACE and adds period correct variants. A new medical supply box has been created that contains the custom medical items.

Medical Items Replaced
  • US Carlisle Dressing, Small == QuikClot
  • US Carlisle Dressing, Large == Field Dressing
  • US Triangular Bandage == Elastic Dressing
  • US Gauze Bandage == Packing Bandage
  • US Morphine Syrette == Morphine Autoinjector
  • US Atropine Syrette == Epinephrine Autoinjector
  • US Blood Plasma (cc) == Plasma (ml)
  • US Surgical Kit == Surgical Kit
  • US Tourniquet == Tourniquet
  • US Splint == Splint
  • US 24-Unit First Aid Kit == Personal Aid Kit
  • US IV Plasma Bottle - 250/500/1000cc == All plasma bags
  • US IV Blood Bottle - 250/500/1000cc == All blood bags
  • US IV Saline Bottle - 250/500/1000cc == All IV Saline bags

  • US Sulfa Packet (IRL version was a disinfectant but in-game it slows bleeding)

  • ACE Spare Track == uses the T-48 Track Link model from SPEX

I understand. Im personally more a fan of the WDC way. For me, the sulfat is more of an immersion item with that small bonus. If it works like the morphine-pen, I can see the danger that you knock yourself or others out because of the heart rate drop.

When my man made the WDC version of Sulfa he decided to make it more efficient and since its his mod, I figured that's fine. There isn't a "correct" version but rather WDC function, I've been thinking to change it but I personally enjoy the pain relief. The version in this mod is the original version that is still able to perform its duty. If you like the WDC version, use that one :D

Correct me if im wrong, but in the current version the sulfa == morphine.
If you compare the config entries they have the same values. Also note that sulfa lowers pain by 0.8.

I also checked the out the config of WDC-mod and there it has the "correct" values:

The personal Aid kit has a different function that I didn’t really see that it needed to be replaced as the PFAK and FAK are two separate items that do 2 different things

I didn’t replace the ace first aid kit. I simply renamed the SPE first aid kit which acts the same way.

Thanks for the info, Harry. Loving the mod so far. Regarding the 24 Unit First Aid Kit (which I think is supposed to be the PAK replacement) it's currently replacing the SPE US First Aid Kit which is converting it into medical items rather thank replacing the PAK. Taking a look at the classnames it's SPE_US_FirstAidKit but I think it should replace the ACE_personalAidKit.

as for German equipment, I only included the E-tool, flashlight, FAK, and surgical kit as they had models for each. Unless specific bandages/drugs have their own models, use the funni US ones for now.

it doesn't show up on the UI as it doesn't slow your bleeding rate enough to make a change on the UI, in addition check your ACE settings, there is a medical setting that transforms the aid kits into several medical items.

Is anybody else having an issue where the 24 piece first aid kit (PAK) is disappearing in the players inventory after closing the arsenal? I've also noticed that applying sulfa powder doesn't seem to lessen bleeding (e.g. from moderate to slow) but otherwise, working perfectly :)
