No this is not a guide about the Glenn Frey song! This is a guide for the Puzzle Quest 3 adventure of the same name: The Heat Is On. It is a pretty straight forward journey from start to finish, with only a single branching path to deal with.

If the heat is on, let's see what's cooking...

Adhakus want to revisit the tree of Flame, and take you along for the fun. This adventure is not replayable, and since there is no more farming mechanism, there is no incentive to bother buying energy. Simply use the 3 free energy per day and save your gems for other stuff



Standard difficulties, but a larger than normal amount of gems for completing the adventure.

The order of Battles is listed below. Give it a quick review so you know what you will be facing.

1)Daemon (1 energy)
2)Fallen Champion (1 energy)
3)Fallen Draconis (1 energy) (Watch for reflect!)

Reward - 500 gold, 1 epic rune and 1 epic scroll

Reward - 1K gold, 1 legendary run and 1 mythic rune

There are two merchants available on this trek. Refer to the Battle section above for where they are located for this adventure. They are listed below in the order you would encounter them.

I prefer to buy items that cost gold, Even though my current gold cap is 40K, I still end up forfeiting gold from chests and rewards, so good to have opportunities to spend it. Once a week I can spend 30K on a random gylph, which helps me free up some gold, but most items in the shop cannot be bought with gold.

As for the items that cost gems, that is up to you to determine what is a good deal to you based on what you need. I save my gems for follower crystals right now, as I am trying to level them to 50. That is a ton of crystals!

There is one opportunity for a free Fae Gift, but you have to take the longer route to collect it. However, since farming is not a thing anymore, as mentioned, there is not need to take a short-cut. Take the energy you are given and follow the yellow brick road, so to speak.
