not really lol, those are late game tools that you can only use in previous levels in ng+
if you're stuck at the post flower you need to go back up and find the fan to activate the elevator that will bring you to the second ascension tower, where you just need to practice the Tic Tac tech to get upwards

Wait for the upcoming patch , the devs are adding new tools like grappling hook and stuff that can change the game and make it a lot of more pleasing experience . Maybe we have to do a new game for that .
