Plattenbau PH-16 No 1

Description

Greetings, fellow humans!

I am very proud to present to you another marvel of the GDR's pre-fab construction programme:
The PH-16!

PH-16 stands for "Punkthochhaus mit 16 Geschossen" (point shaped highrise with 16 storeys).
This type of building with its 132 flats has been developed in and for the city of Erfurt (Thuringia, Germany) where in the late 60's the first ones had been built. Later on, these gorgeous tower blocks found their way to surrounding cities like Gera, Magdeburg and Leipzig, where over 30 of them used to be.
One even has been built in the ukrainian city of Cherkassy by east-german guest workers.

A special feature of these buildings are the maisonette flats occupying the top 2 floors. Also there used to be a rooftop terrace atop each building, although most are closed off nowadays.

The asset provided here depicts the beige-brown version that can be found in Leipzig-Grünau which is a vast soviet-era housing estate built from the 70s to the early 90s. Around 15 of these tower blocks used to populate this part of the city, now only 5 of them are left.

To use the building as intended, you need the Ploppable RICO Revisited Mod. It will appear as a high density residential ingame. If not using RICO, it will only function as a landmark.

Also, I used decals from this Ped Path Set as well as Monis' DDR Bike Rack for decorating the entrance areas. None of these are mandatory, but recommended.

Also, check out the No. 2 version I made!

Additional info:
Building size: 4x5
Residences: 132
Texture Size: 1024x1024
Tris: ~5600

Hope you have fun using my asset! Cheers! <3
