Welcome to this guide.
The Darkside Detective is a funny and fast-paced love letter to the old games of the genre. The general tips for any point and click is to...well, point and click everything and talk to everyone until things work. Or check out this guide.

I wanted a guide with all the achievements to go along with the walkthrough, so I took it upon myself. This way you don't need to go back and forth and second-guessing if you got everything to complete this game.
You can miss some achievements depending the order you perform some tasks, so I made sure to place every of them in the most convenient moment possible. Every case is also very short, so if you accidentally miss it you can redo later but if you follow this guide you'll get all of them no problem.

Classic Dooley: This one is fun. You need to use the KANGO HAMMER on everything.
  • Go back all the way to the left.
  • Use the KANGO HAMMER on The Sewer Gate, Ladder, Grate, Pipes, Dooley, the move right arrow.
  • Move right.
  • Use the KANGO HAMMER on Sewer Water, Sewer Gator, Television, the move left arrow
  • Move right
  • Use the KANGO HAMMER on Power Box, Paper Boat, Evil Clown
  • Move right
  • Use the KANGO HAMMER on Work Sign, Hole on the Wall, Construction Parts
  • Move right
  • Finally, on the last screen to the right, use KANGO HAMMER on Sewer Gate.

  • Take SCAFFOLDING
  • Combine SCAFFOLDING with BOOTS to get STILTS
  • Use STILTS on McQueen
  • Go left to “Front of Church”

  • Check the Broken Window to get in

I figured it out:

(Case 5) In this part, I made some changes:

JETTY
Give FAKED SIGHTING to the Reporter
Take CAMERA
Go right to the Forest


Don't go right. Don't take the camera. Go left back to LAKESIDE then enter the REC BUILDING.

I got call #4 talking about Devon's uniform fibers. (I hadn't gotten that text before)

NOW->
Go right to the JETTY

JETTY
Take the CAMERA
Go right to the FOREST

FOREST
Give PROPs to the kids
Use CAMERA on “Big Foot”, get PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE
Go back to the LAKESIDE

LAKESIDE
Give the PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE to Barry and LARRY
Search the Cooler for TINFOIL
Go left to the REC BUILDING

REC BUILDING EXTERIOR
Enter and answer the phone in the HALLWAY (5/5)

After giving them the picture I went left, didn't pick up the tin foil and went straight for the phone.

Achievement unlocked!

I continued the rest as detailed.

I had the same issue, if you assemble the hat, that's it case closed.

Sorry taking this long, I did replay this case twice and I got the phone call. Maybe you could try checking the call after assembling the tin foil hat?

The 5th phone call would not trigger for me in case 5. I followed this guide exactly, twice through, to make sure and got the first 4 calls but not the last one. The cabin, however, still appeared.
