How to Build a Curved Bridge
By Ampjet
In this guide you will be learning how to build a curved bridge.

This is not a difficult build, however, this guide makes the assumption that you have a working knowledge of Tiny Glade mechanics and that you know how to manipulate all the controls to create a basic structure.

IMPORTANT: In this guide I will explain the step in text first and then the image under the text will be the visual demonstration of the explanation.

If this guide helped you, please remember to give it a thumbs up, an award if you're feeling extra generous, and be sure to comment to let me know what you thought! Feedback is always appreciated, so be sure to let me know if something was not explained in a clear manner. And please be sure to visit my other guides at the bottom of this guide!

Thanks!

Step One: Create First Box
First thing you want to do is place a structure box going over the river or stream your bridge will cross.

Size your bridge to about what I have in the image below. (I remove the roof for this so I can see the size better.)

Using the top arrow marker, pull the roof up the absolute smallest amount you can.

Now using the rotate roof marker, click it to rotate the roof one time.

Step Two: Create Grates
Now using the path tool, draw path right on the side of your bridge box.

Flip to the other side and draw a path on that side as well. If you did this correctly, you should have a grate on either side that look like the image below.

Step Three: Pull the Grates Up
Now select the grates and pull them all the way to the top. You will see the back grate has some sloppy arches that I call "artifacting." We will now fix this. If you have this issue, follow the next images below.

On the side that has "artifacting" and does not have grates, all you have to do is use the path tool and draw along the edge again to find the problematic pixels. I suggest shrinking the brush to very small to find the exact spot.

If done correctly, you should have your grate back like the image below.

Step Four (Optional): Adjust the Curve
Now is a good time to adjust the curve slope of your bridge. This is an optional step, but if you like your bridge to look more curved, now is the time to do this step. (I personally don't like the bridge to have more curve to it.)

Using the left click of the mouse, grab the roof- you will see four arrows appear.

If you hold the mouse and pull to the side you will see the roof slope change. Pick the slope that works best for you.

Step Five: Create Second Box
Now we will create the stairs leading to the bridge. To do this create another box (remove the roof.)

Adjust the box so it looks like the below image.

Now use the coloring tool and select the wood panel option to create wooden railings. This style is called "The Tudor" style by the way.

Using the path drawing tool (make it a small brush), draw a path along side of the box and you will see stairs appear.

Also draw a path between the two boxes where they meet to remove the wooden railing so the boxes better fit together to create an open walkway not hindered by railings.

This is what it will now look like.

Pro Tip: Using the path eraser tool on a very small setting is very helpful during these steps as well. You can "tidy up" any areas where you may have drawn too much path and lost detail that you wanted.

See below for example:

Step Six: Repeat Step Five
We will now place our third and final structure box down and repeat step five to make another set of stairs on the other side.

When you finish, your bridge should look like this!

Step Seven (Final!): Add Details
Now color and decorate your bridge!

Take a final screenshot and show your friends!
