Overjumps
To begin, we must discuss the concept of an overjump. An overjump is a jump in which you jump up from a certain height, then jump off a higher surface at the peak of your jump (or on your way up). This essentially adds to the momentum of your first jump and allows you to jump off the second surface higher than you normally would be able to. Here's a video about overjumping in Halos 2 and 3:

In Murder Miners, overjumping is very simple. Because the game environment is comprised entirely of blocks that are all the same size, overjumps are very consistent and you can easily see where you can do them. Here is a picture showing some different block heights. The blue blocks represent surfaces that you can perform an overjump on. The red ones represent a surface that you cannot perform an overjump on.

As you can see, overjumps can be performed only on surfaces one or two blocks higher than the first surface you jump off of. Anything higher will not work. The technique for performing them takes a little practice to do. To do it correctly, you walk or sprint (sprinting is easier) towards the blocks and jump directly before coming into contact with them. Then you either time the second jump (takes practice) or continue rapidly spamming the jump button. As long as your first jump was at the right moment, it doesn't matter which way you do it. You can tell when you have performed it correctly if you jump off the second surface smoothly without losing momentum. If you bump into the blocks, it will not work. If you perform a wall jump, you will lose momentum and not be able to wall jump again until you touch the ground. This is important for the next step: performing the triple jump.
Triple Jumps
After mastering the overjump, performing a triple jump is very simple. All you have to do is do a wall jump after performing an overjump. Here are some examples of blocks you can perform triple jumps on:

And here are some blocks you cannot triple jump on:

As you can see, the only thing that has changed is the addition of a wall off of which to wall jump. The real technique lies with performing the overjump and finding places to use them effectively.

There are many different ways to use the triple jump. Not every scenario will look the same. There might be empty spaces between the floor and the wall you wall jump off of. The overjump surface might be completely separate from the wall. All you need is a place to overjump off of and a sufficiently high wall to wall jump off of after the overjump.
Application
Nearly every map has places where you can use (and abuse) overjumps and triple jumps. Here are just a few examples:

Here are some stairs from the map MML Theatre of Pain that can be used for overjumps. Using these stairs, you can jump from the bottom floor to the top floor seen at the top of the image.

Here are pictures of the remake map called Nuketown. In each of these pictures, you can see some two block high surfaces that allow you to triple jump all the way to the roofs of the houses.

Finally, here is a picture of the middle of the map MML Unchained. The elevated bit in with the OP Sniper on it can be used, like stairs, for an overjump. Then, you can perform a wall jump on one of the two bridges at the top of the image, allowing you to get from the bottom of the map to the top instantly.

As you can see, just within a few maps, there are plenty of ways to utilize triple jumping to your advantage. And there are plenty more ways to take advantage of them, as long as you know how to do them and find places to do them. So get out there! Be creative and wreak havoc on your enemies, whether it's by gaining height advantage, chasing someone, getting away from someone, or confusing the hell out of your opponents in general. Stay cool and keep on Murdering Miners. MasterPwn out.
Bonus/Extra Jumping
So as it turns out, there are in fact more difficult jumping techniques out there in this game. Although they are much less applicable than triple jumps and overjumps, they exist and I thought it would be fair to add these to the end of the guide as a footnote.

Double Overjumps

It is possible to do more than one overjump at a time. Theoretically, you could do them forever, but it would be very difficult and not worth mentioning. The only practical one is the double overjump. It is done the same way as an overjump, except you do an overjump immediately after already having done one. Here are examples of surfaces I tested to be possible to do double overjumps on:

The method for doing a double overjump is the same as a normal overjump. You walk or sprint towards the blocks and start spamming jump before you run into them. A double overjump gains about the same amount of height as a triple jump. Note that running towards the blocks at an angle may change whether you are able to do it successfully or not.

Quad Jumps

As you might imagine, double overjumps can be followed by a wall jump, making a quad jump. Here are some scenarios in which quad jumps would be possible:

And here are some that would not work:

As you can see, you need sufficient space after the first overjump in order to perform the second one and then make a quad jump.

Super Overjumps

Now here is where we get into speculation. There is something odd that happens when you rapidly spam the jump button upon nearing a two block high surface. Where normally you think you would only be able to perform a single overjump, you instead gain the height of a double overjump. In order to do so, you must press jump more than just twice. It only works on two block high surfaces. It appears that somehow you manage to squeeze two jumps into what should only be one overjump, meaning you jump three times even though you only touched two surfaces. Here are blocks you can super overjump on:

Oddly enough, you cannot super overjump off of blocks that are floating in the air.

Using this technique, we can gain the height of a quad jump by doing a wall jump after a super overjump, which I will call a super triple jump. Here are scenarios possible to super triple jump in:

As you can see, the only thing you need is a two block high surface and a wall to wall jump off of. You can theoretically do it anywhere where a two block high surface is available, as long as you have the space to run or walk up to it. Here are some scenarios where you would not be able to super triple jump:

Super overjumps are truly an oddity within the jumping metagame which I cannot logically explain. Just be wary that your triple jumps may sometimes go much higher than you expect them to.

is there any recommended move speed for starters?

Don't forget shotgun jumps where you use the knockback from the shotgun to boost your height, and basic wall jumps which is when you spam jump next to a wall while holding forwards to get around seven blocks high combined

Of course, you can't forget the elephant in the room that is grenade jumping, done by jumping at the same time a grenade explodes at your feet.

Throwing a sticky grenade right where you intend to do a triple/quadruple jump and performing it as soon as the grenade goes off is how you can essentially jump higher than the maximum build height instantly, though a lot can be said about how difficult this is to pull off (plus the consequence of the grenade's damage still affecting you).

so.... is there an exact distance you need to be away from the blocks to do it? If there is a accurate distance that always works when sprinting straight on, that would help. I can do it occasionally, be its hardly easy when I can only guess the distance.
