As you all know, Valve added back their intro into the game as a part of big 25th anniversary update last year. However, not many know or remember, that in original version of the game was also the intro of their old publisher Sierra Entertainment, also known as "Sierra Studios". Now, of course, this company no longer exists and Valve don't have any contracts or obligations, so removal of their intro is very understandable.
Nonetheless, personally for me, this intro carries a nostalgic value and has that unique feeling and style of late 90's and early 2000's.
Therefore, I've decided to restore it entirely and to implement into newest version of the game alongside with Valve's intro without upscaling or losing any bit of the original quality.
At first, I did it personally for myself, but then I've thought that some of oldschool Half-Life fans also would like to enjoy it once again.

Installation is very easy:

1. Open your Half-Life directory, which is located in "Steam\steamapps\common", or go to your Steam library, press Right Mouse Button on Half-Life, hover your cursor on "Manage" and click on "Browse local files".

2. Open the downloaded archive and drag the folder called "valve_addon" into your Half-Life directory.
After that, in your Half-Life directory, go to "valve\media" and rename the text file called "StartupVids" to something else (e.g. "StartupVids_ORIGINAL").
Now go back to the archive, proceed to "valve\media" and drag the text file into the folder, where you've renamed the original file ("Half-Life\valve\media").

3. When you will finish copying files, launch the game, click on "Options", go to the tab "Content" and check the option which says "Allow custom addon content", as it is shown in the screenshot below. Then press "Apply" and the game will restart automatically.


























And that's it, now you have successfully installed the modification.
