Setting it up

First, download the Mega Mappack from here:
http://www.moddb.com/downloads/blood-ii-nightmares-mega-mappack-2014

Copy the .rez-file into this directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Blood II\Custom
After that, download QTracker from here:
http://www.qtracker.com/download-sections.php?section=0,2,13

Install it and open up the program. Make a right-click into the "Games&Folders" window and select "Add Games".
Add the game "Blood 2" like this

The application path is the path to your game folder and the client.exe, by default this is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Blood II\client.exe

In the command line field, add this for Blood 2 with the Nightmares add-on and the mappack:
-windowtitle Blood2: Nightmares -rez Blood2.rez -rez sound.rez -rez custom -rez Blood2p.rez -rez Blood2p2.rez -rez Blood2l.rez -rez Blood2Nm.rez -rez Blood2Nm2.rez -rez custom\B2_MEGAPACK2014.REZ +multiplayer 1

That's it! Now you can search for servers in QTracker and join them in an instant.

Hosting a game

Hosting a game is a bit more difficult - you will have to edit your hosts file so the game can communicate with the new master server. If you don't do that, nobody will see you server and join you.

The hostfile is located here:
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

It's only writable as admin, so open up notepad as an administrator and enter these lines at the bottom:
65.112.87.186 master.gamespy.com 65.112.87.186 master0.gamespy.com

Done! Now everyone will see your server.

My servers

I have a machine in a datacentre and these servers running 24 hours a day:
hirnschwund.net:27896 - retail maps
hirnschwund.net:27897 - coop server. You need the mega mappack for this.
hirnschwund.net:27898 - only maps from the mega mappack

Note, that the coop server is a modded solution. It may kick you out on mapchange.
Also, if you die in the game and a door closed behind you, you are stuck. DON'T DIE! :D

Tried it some more times; It *really* doesn't work. Nothing I do works and when it gets closer to working, what happens instead is the game is unable to connect to the port setup by Qtracker (21313)

Servers don't appear anyway. My hosted servers simply won't show up

I'm constantly getting "Failed to start the application".
