This guide includes a full walkthrough with details required to unlock all achievements in the game.
There's only one truly missable achievement: Hint Hater which requires completing the game without using hints. All other achievements can be unlocked using mission select.

There are six collectible items in the game. They are not related to achievements or required to complete the game. Finding all collectibles in all three games in the series grants a short epilogue showing what happens with the main character after the game.

All achievements are presented in the order of unlocking although there's some flexibility in each chapter.
1. Operation Groundwater
This level is a tutorial, simply follow the instructions.

  • Pick up the Pickaxe head, pick up the Pickaxe handle, pick up the Dirt.
  • Combine the Pickaxe handle with the Pickaxe head to receive the Pickaxe.
  • Use the Pickaxe on the Well to receive the Planks.
  • Pick up the Body, drop it into the Well.
  • Drop the Dirt into the Well.
  • Use the Planks on the Well.
  • Put the Pickaxe back on the ground.
  • Complete the mission.

All's Well that Starts Well
Complete Operation Groundwater without leaving any evidence behind.
2. Operation Last Rites
  • Pick up the Wooden block, pick up the Pin.
  • Go left.
  • Pick up the Hacksaw, pick up the Hose, pick up the Body.
  • Cut the Wooden block with the Hacksaw to receive the Wooden wedge.
  • Cut the Hose with the Hacksaw to receive the Hose segment.
  • Go left back to the starting location.
  • Use the Wooden wedge on the door.
  • Use the Pin on the door.
  • Enter the Crematory.
  • Pick up the Document, pick up the Bucket.
  • Use the Hacksaw on the right incinerator.
  • Open the right Incinerator, pick up the Belt (collectible 1/6).
  • Leave the Crematory.
  • Use the Bucket on the valve (Faucet) to receive Bucket of water.
  • Go left.
  • Use the Bucket of water on the burning barrel to receive Bucket of hot water.
  • Use the Hose segment on the Bucket of hot water to receive Expanded hose segment.
  • Use the Document on the burning barrel to receive Burning paper.
  • Go back to the Crematory.
  • Use the Expanded hose segment on the Broken pipe.
  • Use the valve to turn on the gas.
  • Open the left Incinerator door.
  • Put the Body on the rails of the the left incinerator.
  • Use the Burning paper to light up the incinerator.
  • Push the Body into the incinerator, close the door.
  • Use the Hose on the Ashes.

Take a Deep Breath
Leave absolutely zero trace of Cillian Walsh.


  • Use the valve to turn off the gas.
  • Take the Expanded hose segment from the pipe.
  • Use the Bucket of hot water on the incinerator to put it back on the floor.
  • Leave and go left to the alley.
  • Throw the Expanded hose segment into the burning barrel.
  • Put the Hose into the dumpster.
  • Put the Hacksaw on the ground.
  • Complete the mission.

Extra Crispy
Complete Operation Last Rites without leaving any evidence behind.
3. Operation Spillway
  • Pick up the Dead branch.
  • Go right.
  • Pick up the Hacksaw from the truck.
  • Pick up the Wire from the ground.
  • Kill the guard with the Wire and leave the location.

  • In the starting location use the Hacksaw on the beehive to receive the Beehive.
  • Go right.
  • Use the Beehive on the guard.

  • Use the Lighter on the dead branch.

  • Pull both levers to stop the water.
  • Go back to the starting location.

4. Operation Airlift
  • Pick up the Oil can.
  • Open the cabinet and take the Strap.
  • Enter the cockpit.
  • Kill Captain Castillo with the Strap and leave the location.

Kill every character that can be killed.


  • Talk to Captain Castillo.
  • Pick up the Jacket (collectible 2/6).
  • Go outside.
  • Use the Oil can on the ground to create a spill.
  • Go to the cockpit.
  • Talk to Captain Castillo and mention the spill.
  • Pick up the Phone, the ID, the Clipboard.
  • Inspect the ID to learn Captain Castillo's birthdate: 05/09/1974.
  • Put the ID back on the chair.
  • Inspect the Phone and enter the password: 5974.
  • Click each contact and send all available messages to each of them. Leave Vivian and the "c u tonite babe" as the last.

Chatterbox
Text all of the contacts in Captain Castillo's phone.


  • Click each contact again and delete all messages you sent and received.
  • Put the Phone back on the chair. Captain Castillo will come back and then leave again.
  • Examine the Clipboard to learn the takeoff checklist.
  • Use the handset to talk to the control tower.
  • Leave the cockpit.
  • Close the door, close the cabinet.
  • Enter the cockpit.
  • Use the Altitude selector.
  • Engage both engines.
  • Use the throttle to accelerate.
  • Put the Clipboard back on the chair.
  • Leave the cockpit.
  • Use the Strap on the Door.
  • Enter the cockpit.
  • Press the Ramp Release Button (BD).
  • Use the Altitude selector and set it to 10000.

  • Pick up the Laser pointer from the toolbox.
  • Pick up the RC car, the Cardboard cutout, the Barrel.
  • Go back to the starting location.
  • Use the Cardboard cutout on the RC car to receive Perfect decoy.
  • Use the Perfect decoy on the guard.
  • Enter the container ship. Notice the yellow container (ID 9417) and the flag.
  • Go back to the location where you picked up the cat.
  • Check the window of the green container.
  • Send the Cat through the bars.
  • Use the Laser pointer on the printer, the boxes, the mug. This will make the cat to mess with them.

Kitty Litter
Make a mess with some help from Asset 1081.


  • Use the Laser pointer on the red button so the cat unlocks the door.
  • Enter the office (green container).
  • Pick up the Body.
  • Open the closet and pick up the Paint.
  • Open the cabinet and pick up the Sticker.
  • Open the laptop.
  • Use the Body on the fingerprint reader.
  • Notice the Sealing Code: GWL.
  • Check the listed countries for the container ID (9417). It's Djibouti (the others have incorrect flag or location). Learn the PIN 8163.
  • Go to the starting location.
  • Put the Body in the Barrel.
  • Paint the Barrel with the Paint.
  • Place the Painted Barrel in the barrel sealer and input the Seal Code: GWL.
  • Pick up the Painted Barrel.
  • Place the Sticker on the Painted Barrel.

  • Return to the office.

This mission has to be completed three times for the achievements.

Method 1
  • Pick up the Silage bag, pick up the Ladder.
  • Enter the house.
  • Pick up the Body.
  • Exit the building.
  • Use the Ladder on the right side of the house.
  • Go up the ladder to the water tank.
  • Open the water tank.
  • Put the Body in the Silage bag.
  • Put the Body in the water tank.
  • Close the water tank.
  • Go back.
  • Pick up the Ladder and put it back to its original place.
  • Complete the mission.

Method 2
  • Pick up the Silage bag, pick up the Ladder.
  • Enter the house.
  • Pick up the Body.
  • Exit the building.
  • Enter the winery.
  • Place the Ladder next to the fermentation tank.
  • Put the Body in the Silage bag.
  • Put the Body in the fermentation tank.
  • Pick up the Ladder.
  • Exit the building.
  • Put the Ladder back to its original place.
  • Complete the mission.

Method 3
  • Pick up the Hose, the Silage bag, the Bucket, the Ladder.
  • Enter the house.

  • Access the system again.

  • Leave the room, go south, left, left again. You'll be next to the park.

  • Go back to the room (south, left, forward to the hotel, right, right).
  • Kill Satoshi with the Rock.
