Hey guys, i've been struggling to get this game to launch this game in fullscreen mode on windows 11.
I've been searching the corners of the internet for days to find guides old and new on how to fix this problem...so apparently when you launch this game for the first time, the game will make a XML file with options for setting your resolution/ other settings, but if your game doesn't launch bcs of the bad resolution, it will never get to this stage and you wont have this file in your game directory.

So i had to make a new xml file with code that i copy pasted from some real troopers on the internet. after changing the XML file to launch the game in windowed mode, it launches in something like 600x400, and you're unable to alt+enter or shift tab to get the game full screen.

In the end i found a workaround that worked for me, which was downloading a program dgVoodoo 2, which is a program that can force stretch the resolution to your preferred size, you can get the file here: https://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/ .

(the only downside is a small (and ugly imo) watermark in the bottom right of the screen, and the menu's / fmv's are in a stretched 600x400 resolution that makes the game look blurry, but in-game it will fully switch to your desired resolution which will make it look a lot better.

TL;DR:
1) Optional: Get the heroes unleased mod.
2) Create or change the xml file in the game directory to have the desired resolution, and set fullscreen to TRUE
3) Download dgVoodoo 2, ( https://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/ ) and set your desired resolution. and turn on fullscreen.
4) Enjoy this timeless classic

This is my first guide i've ever made, but i felt like it was my duty to share my knowledge after figuring out what worked for me.
