Hello! Today I will help you use The Sims 2 Body Shop in the Legacy Collection. To follow this tutorial, you will first need to download BodyShop; unfortunately, it does not come with the Legacy Collection and must be downloaded separately.

Before running it, you need to perform a procedure. The BodyShop you downloaded expect to find the "The Sims 2" folder in your documents. So, we will execute a command that simulates this folder and points it to "The Sims 2 Legacy." This process is called "Symlink."

Execute the following command in a command prompt with administrator privileges, replacing the path with the correct one:


Note: If you previously used the Ultimate Collection, rename the folder in Documents/EA Games, or the symlink will fail.

Before editing the .reg file, you need to determine the exact installation path of The Sims 2 Legacy Collection on your computer. If you installed the game via Steam, the default path is usually:


However, if you installed the game on a different drive or custom directory, navigate to the folder where the game is located. You can do this by:

• Opening Steam.
  
• Right-clicking on The Sims 2 Legacy Collection in your Library.
  
• Selecting Manage > Browse local files.
  
• Copying the full path to the TSBin folder

Open Notepad (or any text editor of your choice).

Copy and paste the following template into the editor:


Modify the @= and "Path"= values:

Note: In inner of Base folder, *TSBin/Sims2.exe* directory doesn't exist on Sims 2 Legacy—this is normal. However, you need to keep it in the .reg file to ensure it works correctly.

• Replace C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\The Sims 2 Legacy Collection\\Base\\TSBin\\Sims2.exe with the correct path to your game’s installation folder.
  
• Replace C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\The Sims 2 Legacy Collection\\Base with the corresponding base directory.

Note: Ensure that you use double backslashes (\\) instead of single ones (\) when editing the paths.
Note 2: the final path of "@=" is not "\\EP9\\TSBin\\Sims2.exe", mantain "\\Base\\TSBin\\Sims2.exe".

Saving and Apply the Registry File:

• Click File > Save As.
  
• In the Save as type dropdown, select All Files.
  
• Name the file something like Sims2_Fix.reg and ensure it ends with .reg.
  
• Click Save.
  
• Double-click the .reg file to apply the changes to your Windows Registry.
  
• Click Yes when prompted to allow changes.

Extract the package you downloaded into the installation folder of your The Sims in "The Sims 2 Legacy Collection/EP9/TSBin" and execute TS2BodyShop.exe.

Now, you will have the Body Shop version working for your Legacy Collection edition. =D

• Clique em Sim quando for solicitado a permitir as alterações.

Extraia o pacote que você baixou para a pasta de instalação do seu The Sims em "The Sims 2 Legacy Collection/EP9/TSBin" e execute *TS2BodyShop.exe*.
