The console command
Type the following command into the console:

wh_ui_showCompass 0

How to re-enable the compass
Type the command again, but this time, change '0' to '1'. So:

wh_ui_showCompass 1
How to open the console
To open the console, press the "~" key.

The "~" key is usually found above the "TAB" key and next to the "1" key.

The key's position is marked with a red rectangle
Troubleshooting: the console does not open
Method 1: Check that your press is registered as "~"

Open a steam chat or any other text editor and press the "~" key. If a different symbol appears, your keyboard may require you to press a combination of keys to register the input as "~". For example, on some laptops, you have to press "FN" key at the same time as the "~".

Method 2: Enable the developer's mode

In the Steam Library, Right Click on the game's icon. Select Properties, then navigate to Launch Options. In the provided field, type -devmode.

Does it affect achievements?
No idea.

The UI oriented console commands do not seem to affect the achievements.

Kai, I would love to add transparency to the hud elements

Kai, unfortunately such option is not listed anywhere.

Is there a way to make the compass bigger and wider though? Would be nice if the UI also has variables for X and Y for the size.
