Intro - What's this about?
Grand Theft Auto IV has a really great soundtrack, doesn't it? It's kind of a time capsule to that late 2000's era, but I couldn't help but think it could benefit from even more iconic songs of that decade. So that's why started tinkering with the Independence FM feature and realize how much the in-game radio could add to the experience and set it out to do a period accurate mixtape for my game, all songs from 2001 to 2008 for max immersion.

Then, I noticed how much the dramatic tone and even the radio stations setlists change on the Episodes of Liberty City and thought ''Why not make a fitting Independence FM mixtape for each entry?''

So here we go, a Spotify playlist for every game, with 17+ songs each. IV is varied, TLAD is hardcore and TBOGT has funky beats. I made sure to also included a retro GTA original song on each, just to add some oldschool Rockstar charm.

As a sidenote, I genuinely recommend you getting the ''Radio Restoration'' mod to achieve the ultimate musical experience for GTA IV: Complete Edition.

Update: New tracks has been added to each playlist for even greater 2000's nostalgia, GTA IV's playlist is now 21 song long and the Complete Edition set makes it a whopping 55!

TBOGT has the kind of music you would either dance at a nightclub or you would be listening while driving with your VIP on a luxury car through the Liberty City's nights. Includes pop, EDM and a bit of hip hop.

for legal reasons... err, I can't, sorry, I don't wanna become the enemy of multiple record labels.
Spotify lists are the closest thing one I can do for you to share you the track lists.

@Durden There's no need to make a Youtube playlist, as you can download the whole Spotify playlists as .mp3's of the highest quality using the ''SpotiDownloader'' site, which I put the above. You don't even need a Spotify account.

Thanks for the comments, I'm glad people are jammin' with the mixtapes. Currently I gave GTA IV 2 more songs, '' Paralyzer by Finger Eleven'' and ''Boss' Life by Snoop Dogg''. I think the whole set as a Complete Edition add-on gives a pretty large picture of the musical time period, as for now I'm pretty proud of the selection. Currently I'm giving the finishing touches on my GTA V mega playlist, stay tuned.

Yo this pack is awesome dude, using this alongside one of my packs for a TLAD run and its been fun. I actually made something similar too, but more of a all in one extension to each radio station. There was some songs in this tracklist I shouldve included and missed.

Even more tracks have been added, GTA IV got two new ones and each episode got another one each for good measure. Originally this was more of a personal mixtape but it was missing more of a overall 2000's flare and I think is quite ideal now.

I'm really enjoying the feel that these new radio mixtapes add to the game, and I love the addition of some tracks from the past games for some additional GTA flavor. Ty! :fhappy:

@ProperCharva I've been tempted to make a mixtape for it but it would have to be shared on the original (delisted) Steam release, as the Definitive Edition of the PS2 trilogy cut out all custom radio options. GTA V will be my next one, though.
