The Following DLC - Level 6 / Gold-tier Buggy Parts Locations
By ✪ Jockekocke ツ
This guide will show you where to get the best parts available for your best friend on the countryside... The dirt buggy!

The main reason that I want to create this guide is because there are no good ones online at all, which surprised me. Hope this benefits the people that see this.

High quality Buggy parts (Engine, Turbo, Suspension, Traction and Breaks) can be obtained by using Blueprints and visiting merchants. Blueprints are unlocked on the Driver skill tree. This way, you can equip your vehicle in parts up to level 5. However, it is not the maximum, because there are also Experimental Military parts which can bring your Buggy to level 6.

To create level 6 parts, you have to obtain military Blueprints. The location of the Blueprints are shown below. Before you start searching for them, make sure that Crane has the Military keycard. This item is obtained from Jasir at the end of The Gathering quest. Every Blueprint is stored in a military crate and you will need the keycard to open them. After obtaining a Blueprint, you just have to make sure that you have all the ingredients necessary to build the part.

Attention Please

There are serveral keycards to be found around the countryside. They have nothing to do with the Military Crates that contains the Experimental Military Parts.

These alternate keycards gives you access and authority to a secret ending within The Following DLC campaign.

Please click the following guide and follow the instructions if you want to see that part of the story through to completion and at the same time get info on where and how to find the items required:

The Military Keycard
The Military Keycard is an item in The Following. It is a card that is given to the player by Jasir after completing “The Gathering” quest in the main story of the DLC. The Keycard allows the player to unlock and open crates in military outposts. The crates that you unlock will give you better loot with access to weapon upgrades, different guns that range from SMG, shotgun and assault rifles... and of course the experimental dirt buggy blueprints.

"The Gathering" quest is the fifth story quest of Dying Light: The Following.

Jasir's Farm:

The place where Jasir spends most of his time at the farm, sitting behind his desk.

Jasir:

The man himself.

The Military Keycard:

The Military Crates
You'll come across green military crates. These crates hold valuable "Experimental Military Part" blueprints that Crane can use to upgrade his dirt buggy. The parts that you can make from these blueprints are of the highest quality and even higher level than the level 5 parts that Crane can upgrade to from his driving rank on the skills menu.

In order to open these crates, Crane must have received the military keycard from Jasir that closes out "The Gathering" story mission. Attempting to open the crates before obtaining the military keycard will have Crane try to pry up the lid with his bare hands, then give up with a slight 'whoomf' sound from the crate.
The Locations of the Crates
  • Experimental Military Engine Part
The Blueprint can be found on a small island near the town in the eastern part of the map.

  • Experimental Military Turbo Part
The Blueprint is located in a wagon, in the northern part of the map. You will see it near the entrance to a lair of the Infected.

  • Experimental Military Suspension Part
The Blueprint can be found inside a wagon in the southern part of the map.

  • Experimental Military Traction Part
The Blueprint is located inside a trailer standing on the highway, in the northern part of the map.

  • Experimental Military Brakes Part
The Blueprint can be found inside a wagon in the south-eastern part of the map.

  • Summary
You should now have all five Experimental Military Dirt Buggy Parts and have the ability to create each part with the required ingredients from the blueprints menu.
Thank You So Much!
Best of luck and have fun with these blueprints, it's a great upgrade for the dirt buggy. I really hope this guide is in a better shape than all the others and that this hopefully will guide you and all other players that wanna find these blueprints and along the way make it a little bit easier and straight forward. Best wishes from me and thanks for reading my guide!
