A save file is a file that your game creates to remember everything you’ve done so far — like your progress, unlocked items, money earned, levels completed, and your custom settings. It’s what allows you to continue from where you left off instead of starting over every time you launch the game. Don’t worry — the save file doesn’t contain any personal information, just your in-game progress.

An average game's systems can become more complex than you might imagine. Many systems are interconnected and work together, and with each new feature, an additional layer of complexity is added to the overall dynamics of the game.

Sometimes, the bugs we encounter are not easily reproducible — meaning that while one player experiences the issue, others may not, and vice versa. As developers, when we test bug reports, we can’t always be sure we're meeting the exact conditions that trigger the bug.

We can still work through it and eventually solve the problem, but what if we had the save file from the user who is already experiencing the issue? That means all the conditions that lead to the bug have already occurred. With that save file, we can investigate the bug immediately, without wasting time trying to recreate it, making the fix process significantly faster.

2. Locate the save file
   
   
   
   - hit windows + r
   - type "%appdata%\..\LocalLow"
   - On the opened folder, find the folder names "Workaround Games" and go into it
   
   
   - Inside, there can be other folders than the one we want so look for the folder named as "Restaurant Owner - A Restaurant Simulator" (Be careful, name and symbols should be identical as we specify here)
   
3. Zip it
   - Right click it and navigate through Compress to -> ZIP
   
4. Share it via our bug report channel on discord
