first trailer
So you want to build your first wagon ? Great ! Lets start with basics
1. TURRETS AND WALLS:
first you have to choose which turrets will you use. There are 2 types which are great for you as new player. Junk lobbers or makeshift plinkers. For your first waggon you should use plinkers cause they dont need compressors which will save you lots of space and will reduce weight but if you like junk lobbers craft and place 2 compressors cause one will not be enought to support all 5. how much plinkers should you have ? 4-5 cause you should have one in each corner plus one on roof of cab. I advice you to place your best guns on roof cause they will have better range and better view. After you install them we will add walls. You only have wood walls for now so lets use them. You want to place Tall ones around your trailer and short ones around turrets and rooftop turret (othervice it will not work cause it cant shoot with tall walls around it) and dont forget to give your turrets cover by placing short walls before them.
2. UTILITIES:
After you have set up basic defence lets talk about utilities which are core of your wagon. You start with command station which you should place in middle or close to cabin, then you should place your firehose and watter storage around it, and in the back part you should have 2 storage boxes for your loot and
3. EXTRAS:
if you have enought space add extra fuel storages (2 will be enought) and add reserve compressor or one more water or loot storage.
4. TRAILERS AND WHEELS:
Last thing you need to take care of before leaving garage is wheels. You should only have like 3-5 pairs at start cause if I remember correctly you need 1 on cab and 2 on trailer and you should always have one reserve wheels on cab and one trailer just to be sure and safe.

And thats it ! This is your first setup so dont expect it to be 10/10 killing machine. It will be good for your first few missions. In next part we will make 2.0 version which will have: better guns, defence, healing stations, ram and maybe some basic elevated turrets. See you next time

part 2: time for an upgrade !
1. BETTER GUNS:
ok so in part one we made basic defence but lets be real. Your plinkers will be very weak against harder enemies so we have to upgrade those plinkers to something much more effective. We once again have several options, we can use preumatic weapons (which will need compressors) or light firearms (I know there are many other types but I used only these 2 and thats why I chose them),best pneumatic early game gun I personally used is "repeat offender" basic gun with nice dps (40 to be exact) and low requiremants (4 compressor power) but also only 50 range or if you want to use firearms you should be able to unlock "rusted repeater" too so thats what I advice you to use because of its 100 range and I know its dealing 26 dps but that range and less weight (cause iit doesnt need compressor compansate it. If you have any questions please contact me in DMs or leave a comment
2. BETTER WALLS AND FIRST SPECIAL BLOCKS:
at this point you should be able to build scrap walls and already have few special blocks. Upgrade all wooden walls ASAP. But I think you already understand this so lets talk about more interesting topic, special blocks. Many people dont understand what they should use them for or how to get them. Special blocks come from blueprints which you obtain on relic sidequests. Once you have them you can place them on your wagon as better defence options cause they can cover larger amout of tiles then basic walls (car end A and B or APC hull) and have more HP or you can use them as decorations (fridge or portaloo) or as thicker short walls (tire piles or oil drums for example). Best walls you can get early are metal fences (they will be best options for a long time). Last category is elevated platforms which are more rare but worth it which can save lots of space and time when you want to make elevated turrets but we will talk about it more in part 3 (part 3 coming soon)
3. UTILITYS AND OTHER STATIONS:
next up is upgrading your stations and storages. After few hours you should be able to have toughened versions of your fuel or water storages or generators and so on, invest into them asap cause your going to fight a lot and leaks or gun disablemant can mean death. Next up is upgarding your stations, you should have acces to basic rejuvenator which will be best investment you can make cause it will save your crews life so many times that you wouldnt believe it, next up command station, if you like it or dont have any other unlocked yet its ok, but if you do please use ligher ones or if you want smaller ones (which are more heavy for some reason). Next up are war drums. Drums are very usuful in combat and skilled crew (badlander skill affect drums) can be your lifesaver. if you want to add one here is little trick. Place it before your command station and rotate it so both face each other, now when you send your crew mate from command station to drums and back they will instantly switch (no matter theyre walking speed)

And thats it. You should now be more then ready to fight harder enemies and complete mission faster and easier. In part 3 we will talk about elevated gun posts and engines plus cabines and wheels (elevated turrets were planned as topic for part 2 but I need more time for research)

First stronghold to capture can greatly influence your battle wagon builds.

Capture the Gun Nuts stronghold and you get the Gun Nuts drums blueprint, which greatly boosts gunning damage.

Capture the Vulture stronghold and you get the Vulture command chair blueprint, which is only 40 weight instead of the standard's 50.

I use one of my reserve battle wagon slots for defense missions. I leave the command chair empty for that one, and put that crew in a turret.

:cb_gun:Basic design, but 4-5 turrets? You change your gunners position in middle of the fight? Because i get 4 castles and have only 1 gunner on left, 1 on right side, 1 crazy 360 turret on tower.

крыша защищает от кислотного дождя. так что я предпочитаю турели под крышей. при этом можно сэкономить на противокислотной броне у экипажа.

The roof protects from acid rain. So I prefer to place the turrets under the roof. This way you can save on acid-resistant armor for the crew.
