🥇 Golden Lap Strategy Checklist (Qualifying)
Use this checklist to maximize your tuning and lap times in qualifying!

⏱️ Timing
✅ Track is dry or drying

✅ Mechanical grip is high

✅ Send car out late in session

✅ Track is clear of traffic

⚙️ Tuning Strategy
✅ Focus tuning on ONE part per car

✅ Choose the weakest part or the part best suited to the track

✅ Start with the high-reward tune (costly but big boost)

✅ Switch to low-risk tune near 75–79

✅ Stop at 80–89 for a golden tune

⚠️ Avoid red zone (90+) – it will drop to ~50%

🛞 Tyres
✅ Use Soft tyres (unless track is too wet)

✅ Check the wetness bar before committing

✅ Save Softs for best lap attempts

👨‍✈️ Driver Tips
✅ Use your best driver for final run

✅ Enable Push strategy in corners for extra speed

✅ Disable Push on straights to conserve tyres

🧠 Bonus Tips
✅ Watch sector rhombuses for lap progress

✅ Compare lap deltas after tuning

✅ Remember: Golden tuning improves race pace, not just qualifying!

🔄 General Pit Rules
✅ Don’t wait too long to pit – tyres fall off fast at low durability

✅ Watch your driver’s lap times – sudden drop = tyre wear

✅ Avoid double-stacking teammates unless absolutely necessary

📉 Undercutting Strategy
✅ Pit 1–2 laps before the car ahead of you

✅ Check leaderboard: if their last laps are slower, they're ready to be undercut

✅ After they pit, go aggressive with tyre strategy to maximize gains

🚥 Yellow & Red Flags
✅ Yellow Flag → pit if tyres are low = less time lost

✅ Red Flag → always:

🔧 Repair car parts

🛞 Change tyres

⛽ Do all this for free while cars are stopped

🛞 Tyre Management
✅ Start with Medium or Hard compounds if crew chief is weak

✅ Save Softs for late-race sprints (no need to conserve)

✅ Use Push strategy in corners, off in straights

⚠️ Monitor stress bar – high stress = higher crash risk

⛽ Engine Strategy
✅ Start neutral (saves fuel)

✅ Go aggressive in last 5–10 laps when fuel isn't a concern

✅ Hover over fuel bar to estimate remaining laps

🧠 Extra Tips
✅ Track is drying? Switch from Intermediates/Wets → Dry ASAP

✅ Push mode doesn’t affect fuel; Engine strategy does

✅ Use pit window overlap to make safe calls (avoid high-traffic reentries)
