2: note how much hunger/overstam each cooked food item is
I would like to point out one minor thing that isn't mentioned here: a coconut can be cooked whole or in it's half states and will grant the player a stamina boost as well as curing some hunger. Raw coconuts will *only* help with hunger. One can use the fire by the plane to cook them and get a stamina boost from the very beginning!
There are benefits to cooking the other raw foods as well! Generally speaking, cooking boosts the effects of the food item (packaged items as well!) and may help with reducing negative side effects (like poison) (green berry, for example).
