Beskrivning
An armored train made for the We Were Brothers modpack, centered around the Yugoslav Wars.


Current version: Beta 0.1

To-Do before Release 1.0:
-fix some minor model errors
-add a magazine for the Bofors gun to use
-add actual train sound effects
-Fix stuff based on comments, if said issue is not mentioned above


FEATURES:
☆ A historical armored train never seen before in any other game, modeled as authentically as possible (within game limits) based on historical photos
☆ Several different types of weapons (Bofors, rocket pods, AA guns, etc)
☆ LOD models for all major parts, to reduce potential lag
☆ The ability to get on and walk around the train + drive the train from any seat
☆ The ability to call in artillery from it, as it is a self-propelled artillery vehicle


IMPORTANT NOTES:

- The train can only move back-and-forth, and cannot turn. This is because I am not even going to attempt to make that work

- Do NOT try and spawn this in on the shooting range, it will bounce around and will be unusable. Instead, create a custom mission on a map with flat terrain and spawn it there

- I highly suggest using the arrow keys to switch seats, as there are 14 of them

- The ability to walk around the train is not perfect: You won’t move with the train, and you can accidentally die based on your movements while the train is moving, but that should be rare (at least from my tests)

Possible questions:

Q: "Can I get some history on this?"
A: This is the most famous armored train of the wars, made by the Croatian Serbs/the Republic of the Serbian Krajina. It was used off-and-on for fire support and ferrying soldiers across the territory held by the Krajina as well as through western Bosnia before it was deliberately destroyed in 1995 to prevent its capture.


Q: "How do you walk onto the train?"
A: See the photo above with the red arrows. Walk directly into that empty space that is being pointed at, it is directly in front of the triple-barreled AA gun.


Q: "Why am I clipping through the turrets while walking around the train?"
A: I removed colliders from the turrets so that you can walk through seamlessly with as few issues as possible


Q: "The Browning M2 in the back has no recoil and snaps while turning!"
A: I know. I have no idea what is causing it. I literally duplicated the other M2 to make that one and it still didn't fix it.


Q: "What’s the point of the 1st seat?"
A: To see behind the train quickly.


Q: "What’s with the last few seats that don’t have turrets?"
A: Extra crew members to replace any dead ones


Q: "Will this be in any missions of yours?"
A: Yes, the 2nd mission in the Siege of Bihac campaign. I will post a comment below when it’s out.


Q: "Did you really just make a functional and walk-around-able armored train, on top of everything else you’re doing, and upload it at 3:35 in the morning for one mission that you haven't even finished yet?"
A: Yes.


Q: "…are you okay?"
A: No.

So again with the whole custom intro thing i did the LUA_Script0 thing and it says ERROR there along with the localization for my new mission, i wish Marco the leader of CorvoStudio would just add the ability to make a custom intro message thing in-game

@ElNoobMasPro72 I personally don't want to ruin the outside texture with something like that. I guess I didn't explain it well enough, its the empty space right in front of the triple-barrel AA gun, and I'll update the description with that as well.

Can you make it more obvious to enter like being in a door or with some red markings?

@BrockKids1 Yeah I really don't know. I've done that same process for like 4 missions (2 in progress) at this point and I never ran into that error

@BrockKids1 I'm not sure, then. It's so simple that I've never had any errors. Maybe go on the discord and ask, or delete the localization.xml and create a new one with the button
