Overview
Personally, I divide such information into 3 types:
  • Leak - information taken from the game's files
  • Insider - information that was told by some reliable (or at least somehow) source
  • Involvement - information where a person talks about their involvement in the upcoming Call of Duty

The only moment in the campaign that was outside of the very narrow timeframe was the “Make History” calling card, which featured George W. Bush at release, as well as the moment before the plane hit the World Trade Center.

Subsequently, after players drew attention to this, both of these moments were removed from the business card.

Treyarch have had their budgets approved for a 2 year lifecycle on their next installment as part of Activision | Blizzard’s 3 year budget cycle. Activision are hedging their bets on MWII doing well financially as well as the infrastructure of COD 2.0.

Given how much of a reputational failure Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0 were and the corresponding reformatting of Modern Warfare III into a separate game instead of DLC to the previous one, it is likely that this result also influenced the possible cancellation of support for the 2-year cycle of Black Ops 6 (if it was ever planned to be implemented, and not left in the plans).

13 July 2023 - Involvement
    Actor Luke Charles Stafford shared on his Facebook page that he donated his appearance to the character Ratcliffe for Call of Duty.

Peter Ratcliffe[en.wikipedia.org] is a former British Army soldier who served in the Parachute Regiment and the Special Air Service for almost 30 years and showed bravery during the Gulf War, for which he received a medal.

However, there is no character with this nickname in the game, and the actor himself is not mentioned in the credits on IMDB Black Ops 6[www.imdb.com].

On his ActorsAccess page, Michael Silberblatt lists himself as (one of?) the main characters in a Call of Duty game, which is still classified.
