How to cheat in Destination Sol:

NOTE: Before you start reading through this guide and following what it says, please be aware that this is cheating and isn't the original way the author wanted you to play this game!
NOTE: Before you edit any of your files be sure to back them up or try and remember the changes you've made so you can always undo them if they managed to crash your game!

Here are the things this guide will allow you to do:

Increasing resolution of the game (Bypassing the default resolutions).
Getting more money.
Getting a better ship.
Spawning things in your inventory.

How to cheat:

Make sure your game is NOT running.
Browse to the directory which contains your Destination Sol files. (If you do not know how to get there, go to your steam library, right click the game and go to properties > Local Files and then press on "Browse local files".)
You will see a file called prevship.ini, open it in notepad.
You will see a line of text saying: money=100 (Or whatever the amount of money you had), edit the value from your previous amount of money to any value you'd like, for example changing money=100 into money=999 would give me 999 credits on the next game launch.
money=100
to
money=999
The items variable represents what you currently have in your inventory and the hull variable represents the current ship you have. You can edit these too but it will require a bit more time to get the names of all ships and items.
Save the changes you've made to the file.
Launch your game & Enjoy!

Increasing resolution:

Make sure your game is NOT running.
Browse to the directory which contains your Destination Sol files. (If you do not know how to get there, go to your steam library, right click the game and go to properties > Local Files and then press on "Browse local files".)
You will see a file called settings.ini, open it in notepad.
Search for the variables x and y.
Change the values to whatever you seem fit, for example I have a 1920x1200 screen so I'd change x=360 to x=1920 and y=360 to y=1200
x=1920 y=1200
Save the changes made to the settings.ini.
Launch the game & Enjoy!

@HeroTonyman -- sure, it's over a YEAR down the line, but here's an answer anyway:

Go to your Steam LIBRARY.
Right-Click on Destination Sol.
Then look for the Browse Local Files option in the drop-down list somewhere..
