"...as long as you're not a ♥♥♥♥ about it.

The idea came to me when I was sitting down eating dinner thinking about how rad it is having the flu, and then my mind wandered off and I thought, "Hey, isn't it sure funny how you're not allowed to have an opinion on the internet of all places? Boy, that sure is funny!"

I've come across some times where I'd mention that I enjoyed something, and some other people would react rather negatively about certain things. Not that it's too much of a problem, I mean, what's the worst that can happen? People really can't hurt you because you enjoy something. People are allowed to have things they like and dislike, I for one am personally not too big of a fan of 80% of country music. That doesn't mean I'm going to go out of my way and insult people who do, just because I don't like something other people enjoy. I was raised on Classic Rock (my father's taste in music) and country (my mother's taste in music), and I personally never caught on beyond Johnny Cash and some Bob Dylan (both men are legends), but if someone enjoys country music while I particularly do not, I'll just go "Alright." and move on. I might express my distaste for the style and give reasons why ("my dog was run over by a pickup truck", a lot of country I've heard sounding like watered down rock and roll/pop music), but I won't try to change other people's viewpoints or try to get them to not enjoy what they like.

At the end of the day, life can be really ♥♥♥♥ for all of us, reality is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and we all know it. So why bother and make people feel like ♥♥♥♥ for something they enjoy? If you like anything I'm particularly not a fan of, more power to you! I'll continue to avoid that kind of stuff, and you go ahead and immerse yourself in whatever your little heart desires. Some people don't have to have reasons as to why they enjoy certain things, either, such as stamp collecting. Some people just do it because they like it, something about it that they can't really explain. I'd give an arm and a leg to enjoy rock collecting. Imagine going outside and taking a basket of rocks home, and that giving an immense feeling of satisfaction. Sure, it's weird, but why hate on someone for enjoying something as redundant and little as that?

On a side note, I had to get two other people to give me videos with really bad comment section arguements to adapt to this text to make it as authentic to an internet insult via a youtube comment chain as possible.

As the song goes, It's okay to not like things, but don't be a ♥♥♥♥ about the things you don't like.

TL;DR: Let people enjoy ♥♥♥♥ they wanna enjoy, you can't change people, and you can't stop them from enjoying something.
