How To Take Screenshots In Stronghold Crusader HD

I've tried for a long time now to get screenshots uploaded for Stronghold Crusader, which now I've have found a way (not a relatively easy way) to do it.

I have looked at a few screenshots already on steam and asked a few people how they do it, and this guide should help anyone else trying to up load there screenshots.

First before you open the game up, you need to find this folder …steam/userdata/yourRandomID/760/remote
In this folder you need to create a file called ‘40970’ (40970 is appid for Stronghold Crusader)
And within that folder you need to create another one called ‘screenshots’
So it will look like this ‘...Steam/userdata/YourRandomID/760/remote/40970/screenshots’

Now once that is done create a shortcut of that folder and put it in you Documents (it saves you finding it again)

Now start the game up and play as you normally would, and while playing the game if you press ‘Alt+Q’ this will then take a screenshot (or ‘Shift+Alt+Q’ for multiple Screenshots) these will then be saved in your Documents under ‘Stronghold Crusader’. So once you have finished the game open up your Documents and open the ‘Stronghold Crusader’ folder. In here are all your screenshots, but they need to be saved as a .jpeg and not as a .bmp file which they are now. So simply open the file up in paint and save as a .jpeg. and place it in the ‘...Steam/userdata/YourRandomID/760/remote/40970/screenshots’ folder (or the shortcut folder if you made one).

Now the screenshots are in the file ready to be uploaded, now if steam is already open on your computer then it will need to be restarted in order to be able to see the screenshots.

It does sound like a lot of work just to upload a screenshot but after one or two goes at it, it will seem like second nature.

If you have found a better/quicker way of doing this please let me know.

I hope this guide works for you and happy uploading.

Thanks to ‘EaglePrince’, ‘ADD GYROS’ and ‘Meidi’ for the information on this guide.

Everything seems to work out, but when I try to upload a screenshot to the incentive, it gives an error that the steam cloud does not work. I don’t know how to fix it, can someone advise something? :steamsad:

Do this > and all be ok with upload.
Next, drag the screenshots into the folder "screenshots", and copy them to "thumbnails".
Important point (!). In the folder "screenshots", you will need to make a copy of each screen, and add to its name "_vr" at the end.
