I'd like to help you be safer with links. Or you can just never trust them.

What are Phishers?
Phishers, are bots or accounts who try to steal your account information, personal information, and or bank information. How they go about it you may ask? Well, it's all done with the magical thing called "links." Not the link in Zelda or Chain links. URL's (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTAxl2x3wMk&list=PLZgnO5CTZz1_NcDt0N2JYTaO4FBPrNWiU&index=16) <--- these) or the top bit of your web browsers search bar. The thing with a bunch of random stuff that means something you don't know, ok? Anyways, these guys are malicious and will stop at (almost) nothing to get your information. This is a simple explanation. If you want it in more details, i'd recommend other guides. Instead I will talk about keeping you and your computer safe!
Keeping you safe!
This'll be brief, again goto other guides if you'd like more indepth guides. So, by now you're asking how do these "links" even work like they've been described? Well simple, Click the Link>Link goes to Site>Site auto-downloads something>This "something" intsalls on your computer once ran> Then t's down hill! so how can I keep safe, well one of 3 ways.

1.) Never trust links!
2.)URL checker
3.) A Safeword between friends.
1.) Never Trust Links
Simple. Never trust links ever! (How easy is that?)
2.) URL Checker?
Hmmm....how many of you guys already knew this? Good for you! *Gives virtual cookie*

For you newbies out there, your asking what is this "url" checker? a URL checker is a site that can search the link and scan it. It then will show a result of other URl checkers that also searched this and compare them. Then it will tell you if the site is Good or Bad. I use this one (https://www.virustotal.com/). So? Think your safe still? Well sometimes these "checkers" can be fooled technology isn't perfect. now you're asking, "How do I protect myself!" Then you think,"Aha, My antivirus can stop it!" Well your right somewhat. This is what makes these so deadly! Some antivirus's can't pick up these harmful downloads and will go unnoticed. I'd recommend that you scan your computer if you think you clicked a bad link, or check recent downloads and such. (P.S Goto another guide for more info) Even your best friend you know can get phised it's easy. "But gaben, I want to share links and be safe!" I'll tell you how!
3.) The "SafeWord"
Not that type of safeword you sicko's.....

What i'm talking about is a word you send to your friend before posting the link. What does this solve I hear you asking. Phisher bots are Pre-Programmed to say a message once you've added them or they take and account. So by saying the word "Pootis" for example before sending a youtube link your friend will know that it's you and can trust it. Another plus is, you can change this word how often you like! So for 1 week it's "Pootis" and the second it's "Painus Cupcake" (doesn't have to be tf2 realated). What do you guys think of this? Or is it stupid?
Conclusion!
Guys,if you read down to here thanks you so much. This is my first guide i've ever written. Thanks to my friend ♥Pie/Zer0♥ for actually using this wierd idea with me! Hope you guys like it. Let me know what you thought about it, what I can change, or should I try writing a more indepth guide about all of this?
