Why did I created this guide
I don't claim that this binding is the best solution to play the game , but since I found the Default binding of the game to be quite ineffective and unoptimised I have never used it and just made my own. Recently decided to make a guide about it , mainly to try my hand at making guide's and see how much work it is.

It's the one that I've been tweaking and used for many hours of Killing floor 2 playtime and still use. I highly encourage you that you make your own but this guide is still something that I consider to be a good starting point if you're looking for some inspiration.

Also A big advantage of making your own keyboard settings is that it's make it easier to remember which key's does what since you're the one that picked what they do.
Weapon's section
for the weapon's I've reversed the default position of the gun's , since I find the key number 3 more easy to reach then the key number 1. The berzeker who use melee weapon's as it's main don't need to swap weapon's as often then the other's so I personally only see advantage by moving swapping them around.

I've also moved the tool's to the letter 'E' to bring it closer to my hand position , it's an habit I've took since KF1 because the medic syringe and welding tools where used much more often back then

I have completly removed the weapons selection from the mouse wheel because it's just too slow compared to using the keyboard directly , this is something that Improved my performance a lot's since Killing floor 1.

Combat
for the combat section , I've moved the grenade from the G down to alt in order to use it with the thumb of my left hand instead of moving one of my finger from the movement's key's

I also moved the far away melee bash from V into X , so it's much faster to bash.
I usually pick the middle mouse key for that but since it was already taken by the alternate fire I had to make a compromise.

I also moved the Flashlight key from it's F down to the control key , In order to be able to use the F key as an action key (see next section) , it's took some pratice but the CTRL key is easy to reach with your small finger once you're used to it.

Interact
I have not touched the voting key for the sole reason that they're not used very often.

Since the E key became the one for the welder's I moved the Use key to the F key , keeping it close and somewhere that some other game also bind it with fairly often , making the switch fairly easy.

because I've removed the weapons selection from the mouse wheel I've decided to move the dosh and weapons dropping on it ... this is something I've spend a while trying on different's key's , I've finally decided to use the mouse scrolling wheel after realising that I had completly lost my habit of trying to select my weapons with the mouse wheel's. It's also give both direction of the wheel a similar function.

Conclusion
so this is the end of the guide , I din't changed anything related to the movement's key since they're the classic's WASD and that the C work very well for a toggle crouch key. by hoping that this guide will ever be usefull to anyone.

I also did heard that some peoples prefer using ESDF instead of wasd for movement in fps , it's might worth trying if you're curious also.

may the smoked cheese be with you and happy zeds killing.

when you're used to switching weapons with the keys you can switch the weapon so fast and get exactly the one you want that not being able to switch at the same time then running is not even an issue.

To each their own I guess but you can't swap weaps on the run which imo is imperative. Here's my two cents: primary wheel dn, sec wheel up, melee mmb, side buttons for shove and block. Playing around with grenades on E and caps lock for flashlight right now. Tab equip.

And I just noticed this is a hundred years old. Anyway may it help somebody.

of course and that's why I encourage everyone to do their own , the guide is a mere inspiration for those who are not sure how they could improve their keybind rather then trying to tell everyone how to play the game. :P

Thanks for the guide but i think keybinds is diffrent for each person
i used to play TacticalOps for like 10years and most binds in KF2 are the same
so i just changed few of them to my liking

the only thing which I admit to be a bit flawed is using the grenade with the alt key since it's will throw a nade everytime I alt tab in or out of the game , but it's sometime I can live with more easily then having to press 'g' when I really need to use a grenade in a very urgent situation.
