What is the point of this guide?

Its merely a simple guide for getting through this Visual Novel (VN);
if you prefer to go straight to True End and avoid Bad Endings.

You can check out the Bad Endings if you want,
as they are really short and have no CGs associated with them.

There are only 8 times when you have to make a decision.
Only the last 4 choices are of significant impact.

This VN does not have a 100% proper English or grammar,
but in most cases the intended meanings of the sentences are understandable.

What I find most interesting is that this VN covers a topic on a scale rarely touched upon by most others; the issues of racism, discrimination and violence. And happens to be based on true real life events of the past.

The next set of 4 choices have an impact on the story, you should make a save if you want to check out all the options.

I call that choice an Alternate End instead of Bad End, because technically, Yu-Chen's fate (our honest, polite, hardworking main character) is much much better compared to what happens to him in True End.

The next time you go back to the Title Screen, you will be shown an ominous version instead.

You've cleared the VN once, so you decided to check out the Extras section, & noticed some missing CGs?
(I have cropped out the CGs attained on the first playthrough as a spoiler, the only ones you shouldn't have yet are the ones with "?")

The 2 missing slots for CGs are not a bug, but rather, an intentional feature by the developers.

Go back to the title screen,
And hit Start again.
Waittt........the starting of the VN is no longer like what you remembered?

That's because this time you are playing from Yu-Qing's perspective, (the little girl), with her story beginning a few days before Yu-Chen's arrival (our MC) and her story ending at the same time as Yu-Chen's for obvious reasons.

Yu-Qing's side of the story elaborates more upon why she often skips classes, her growing relationship with Melati and the pregnant teacher, the origins of the boat, and why she's such a jerk towards our MC.

Another bonus to Yu-Qing's side, is that our MC's appearance is no longer restricted to CG illustrations, he now has his own character sprite.

There are no choices in Yu-Qing's side of the story, at this point it is merely a Kinetic Novel.

Clearing Yu-Qing's scenario leads you to a happier-looking Title Screen and 100% CGs.

Worry not, after clearing the VN for the 2nd time, that brings you the completion of Episode 01.

The next time you restart the VN, you are given a choice whether you prefer to read Yu-Chen's scenario (male MC) or Yu-Qing's scenario (little girl).
