Intro
Labyronia, a simple but hard game. This guide will help you with a boss if you're stuck.
I finished the whole game in 14 hours and didn't powerlevel to 40 so this guide is more
than go to the grotto and level on Werewolves.

So the guide will tell you what items and cues to have because certain fights come down to
1. Did you buy the right item?
2. Did you learn the right cue?

********IMPORTANT NOTE - As soon as you can, staple/equip/put on the CROSS SHIELD for Arres and never take it off till the final boss. Regenerating magic points is ridiculous and since Arres will be using spells and healing because he's a one man party, not having to waste a turn using an item is great. Plus, it works outside of battle. Hands down the most broken equipment you have. Buy one for Ann too and also never take it off. ***********

I also put the bosses in the order I fought them which you should also fight them in this order so you don't backtrack/ fight a boss later than you're supposed too.

Without further ado...
1st boss - Primordial Floater x7, fairy
1st boss

Primordial Floater x7, fairy

My level: 4 – 5

Attack and heal when necessary. No useful cues so no strategy. Fairy will give you defense boost after a couple turns. You've been fighting Floaters for awhile so it's nothing too hard.

Note: The fairy flies away after awhile so don't bother attacking it if you didn't read the speech before the fight.
2nd boss - Triden
2nd boss

Triden

My level: 8-10

Boss uses all water attacks. Buy Great Fish Robe. Attack until dead. Without the robe, you cannot win.
Midboss - Werewolf
Midboss

Werewolf

My level: 11

Uses Shout (paralyzes), single attack (claw), double attack (double claw).

Weak to fire ( find in forest in hidden spot before the grotto, looks like a pile of wood ). Stay above 500 HP because they critical a lot. Later on you can power level off them if you really want.
3rd boss - Lycia
3rd boss

Lycia

My level 15- 17

Uses stone/quake ( grounded status ), single attack which is a double attack, and ironbody (massive defense boost and reflect magic). Find Dispel (In the cave you fight Lycia in) and buy Steady Boots ( In Jenise. Prevents grounding). My strategy (I didn't buy the boots) was to use stone ( he's immune to the damage but not the status). Grounded status lasts two turns exactly on Lycia so I used one turn to Dispel or heal and used the other turn to attack. Probably the hardest boss because if you get grounded, it lasts forever. (died about 15 times).
4th boss – Ice dragon
4th boss

Ice dragon

My level 19-21

Uses ice attacks. Ice shield ( Glimthar Village ) + fire = easy win. It's that simple.
5th Boss - Nefer
5th boss

Nefer

My level: 20 -21

You're on a time limit since the desert is hot and you finally get thirsty. His attacks take a long time and he HEALS!! Dispel his healing and use regular attacks ( his weakness). Pray for crits. I finished in 4mins11secs. You can die from letting the timer run out so DON'T LET THE TIMER RUN OUT!!
6th boss – Firebird, Fiery Wisp x2
6th boss

Firebird, Fiery Wisp x2

My level 20-21

Make sure to learn Fire Shield from the red tree right by the save point . Use it if you wanna live. Do the wave to kill the wisps, dispel the firebird and finish him off. Pretty simple unless you let them set up but I didn't lose so you shouldn't either unless you didn't learn the Fire Shield.
7th Boss - Arena
7th Bosses

Arena Fight

My level: 22- 24

Five boss fights so here we go:

7A – Grab Counter Cue (the shield in the pub where you gave away the sword). Apply and slash. Yay!!

7B – Use Will Strike to stop his spells then attack cause he can't attack without his spells.

7C- same as 7A

7D – same as 7A( he's the first one that actually requires counter cause he hits too hard without it. Learned that the hard way. )

7E – The actual boss. Fire shield 1st then counter. He's on fire so use wave to put him down. Three stages to this fight but as long as the fire shield and counter stays up, there's nothing to worry about.
8th Boss - Ice Trapper
8th Boss

Ice Trapper

My level 23 – 25

Two person party (Finally!!) . Ice Shield plz. Only threat is the ice trap. Fire, fire, fire, or Will Strike if you want. Take your pick. Garic can fire shot or multishot or something.

Just keep the Ice Shield up and you can't lose. Two Ice bosses in one game is weird though.
9th Boss - Wind Crystal Thieves
There's two bosses and to avoid spoilers, the title is written like that.

Boss 9a

Berline

My level: 24 – 26

Three person party (Max YES!!!!). Make sure Ann also has a cross shield. Ann heals, Garic multishots, Arres destroys things. No real strategy needed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Boss 9b

Bunny and Lily

My level: 24 – 26

2 on 3. Little bit tough because Bunny heals and Lily throws dark magic at you and reflects. Arres will be dispel most of the time. Gang up on the medic, Bunny, because it heals way too much for you to ignore it. After that, Lily goes down pretty easy. Multishot is still your best bet for damage. Clarity is a big help (cue from getting the investigation right) cause it boosts Garic's attack by a lot.
10th Boss - Renegade Wizard
10th Boss

Renegade Wizard

My Level: 24 - 26

So I forgot to add him and kept thinking there was another boss I missed. Some people fight him with a one person party and other people fight him with a three person party. The battle itself is pretty easy either way because it should look something like this:

Arres: Will Strike to silence him so no spells ( Just like the arena fight )

Garic: Multishot

Ann: Light cue ( In the same cave. It's his weakness )

I suggest doing the fight with three people because Ann learns Light and Cure X ( I think two important spells ) in this cave and there's no reason to backtrack here after beating the boss so come here with a full party.
Bonus Bosses - For the Achievements!!
This is when I fought them so I put them here instead of at the end.

Bonus boss 1

Monster Leader

My level: 25 – 27

Kind of easy fight. Ann should have light and he's weak to that. The only threat is the instant death spell he has that always hits and always kills. Revive when that happens.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bonus boss 2

Abramelin

My level 26 – 28

If Lycia isn't the hardest fight then this is. Double spells, Double attacks, and an element you can't defend against ( poison) make this battle tough solo. If you power level to 40, beat him, then complain it was easy, I can't help you. Don't solo him cause his double spells do too much damage to Arres solo. With a three person party, it becomes Arres throws up spells, Garic multishots, and Ann party heals. Just know he's a threat even with three people. The Dragon Axe is your reward and just staple it on Arres cause there's no better weapon for him.
11th Boss - Guardians
11a – 11d

Guardians

My level: 24 – 26

***** Note: Yes, I went down two levels. I took all the rings. Your punishment is Arres loses two levels. I didn't use the rings so probably should have took one instead. *************

Each guardian has a weakness that can be exploited. Garic could do it but Multishot does too much damage with clarity from Arres. Arres can target their weakness and Ann can be cute. They do have a strong melee attack so watch for that but otherwise no threat.

If you need it, fight them in this order or you will have to keep fighting them over and over again:

Red Fire Room
White Wind Room
Blue 1st Room
Green Grass Room

Final Boss - 4 gods
Yes, they are wizards but to avoid spoilers again...

Final Boss

4 gods

My level: 25

SPOILER – 2 on 4. You lose Ann but we have this fight. Equip the Crown of Ely ( prevents statuses) on Arres... if you have two then equip on both but its important that Arres has one.

1st turn – Arres Ice shield and Garic fireshots Crodin
2nd turn – Arres Fire shield and Garic fireshots Crodin
3rd turn – Arres Clarity on Garic and Garic fireshots Crodin....

You see a pattern, take out Crodin 1st because he's the easiest to take out and also NEVER STOPS ATTACKING!!! Once he's down, I would focus on Windir. Make sure that the confusion prevention never leaves Garic cause once the pendant gets used, it confuses and silences. I had the crown on Garic and it was a headache not being able to use spells with Arres. Garic doesn't really use spells so its fine if he's silenced. Arres should use Release ( Monster Leader door he's guarding) whenever possible to lower defense and it does decent damage. Don't bother dispelling the HP Regen on pendant boy (Zemocon) cause he's last.

Note – If Dinyon and Windir stop attacking and look at Zemocon, he's gonna use the pendant. You can keep attacking if you want but I just used defend ( the 1st time I used that command). It does about 300 damage while defended and 800-1000 without it. Take your pick.

After Zemocon is left... he evens things up by putting Garic back to level 1 so he's essentially dead. Arres job now is a 1 on 1 battle by using Release or whatever your strongest move is. The pendant is still a threat but the status won't hit so no worries. You can still lose at this point (I did). Finish Zemocon off and watch the ending. Congrats on finishing the game.
Conclusion
So, the game itself wasn't the hardest game in the world but certain parts can get you stuck. I think
most people make this game last so long because they power level for no real reason.I look forward to playing Labyronia 2.

In cause you want to know, My final set-up looked like this:

Final Set-up

Arres Lv 25 – Dragon Axe, Ancient Buckler, Crown of Ely, Four Winds Robe, Dinyon's Pendant
Garic Lv 24 – Thunder Bow, Golden Glove, Salamander Helmet, Dragon Armor, Ring of Florian
Ann Lv 24 – Cane of Ely, Cross Shield, Magi's Crown, Fire Robe, Ring of Patras

Thanks for reading my guide. This is my 1st and I hope it helps someone get unstuck. Until next time....

@Ultima I think they are talking about the second game, in which Ann betrays you in the climax after refusing to believe that Arres can't be saved. She comes around after a miniboss fight and then you can use her against Armagen.

@Ultima Your response is under the spoiler. There is no way to use her or save her. She is in the next game though.

Ann is not part of the final fight. Is there a way to save Ann? All guides keep talking about shes available for the final fight. Which she is not.

Lol i killed nefer in like 45 seconds because i had to backtrack all the way from the Gladiator arena to go back and kill him so i was overleveled.

If you can use counter on Nefer, then you forgot to fight him when you 1st could do it.
Dark Sky Empire 24 Jun, 2016 @ 6:17am
I beat Nefer in 1 minute. Use Counter, he will kill himself.

Timbits 20 Jan, 2016 @ 6:52am
thats what i was gonna try next lol, i was kinda confused because it wasnt attacking me. its like trying to hint you to do it.
Son Samurai  [author] 19 Jan, 2016 @ 9:11pm
You don't kill the green slime, you hit it with stone spell until it teaches you dispel. Did it on accident the 1st time but yea, could be more clear in the game.
Timbits 19 Jan, 2016 @ 7:58pm
im figthing lycia but for some reason when i kill green slime i dont learn dispell, without dispell i cant get rid of the defence and i cant win
