Deathmatch

Deathmatch is usally what I play on Half-Life. First, open Half-Life and click "Find Servers". Go on a server and boom! You are playing deathmatch! Half-Life and Half-Life deathmatch run in the same game. When you buy Half-Life: Source, it comes with 2 games? The first game is Half-Life Source, and the 2nd is Half-Life - Deathmatch: Source? That is the problem with the source engine.

Mods (unfinished)

The best mods for HL is only for HL1. For HL: Source, there arent much mods. My favourite mod for hl1 is Go-Mod. It's like Garry's Mod except it runs on GoldSrc.

Half life: Source is glitchy but worth getting for garry's mod.

Valve might not put hl on discount as its cheap anyway

thats great to know its still alive =) so just to be sure does hl1 has deathmatch like source?
and just another question when do you think valve's putting hl on discount (dont know if i should buy the game full price or just wait) Thanks m8

there are loads of people playing deathmatch. There aren't much servers in HLDM: Source.

thanks for the guide m8, although i would love to try deathmatch i would like way more to play scenarios made by people, its one of the reasons a love this game so much.
ill be going with the hl1

My brother Taylor556 uses HD DM:S models. He says you have to copy and paste the HD folder from Half-Life: Source, then add it as a search path in DM:S gameinfo.txt. The w_* models don't work, but the v_* models work, which is the important part.
