He might actually take out both vipers with bladestorm if they try to grapple, could do good damage to the andromedon too if it goes in melee for a punch.

Always have to be careful where to rush into melee if you move forward. At least do that as the first move then so the rest of the squad can still attack any enemies getting uncovered.

If anything flashbangs make Sectoids more dangerous since they cant use their abilities anymore which makes them either overwatch or fire at you lol

It's really just a joke about a rookie move we all learn the hard way not to do... but the thing about sectoids is, they're not guaranteed to do something disastrous. They don't have to go down first. Especially when there are things in the AO that WILL shoot at you or do something WORSE. And flashbang grenades... they essentially make sectoids useless.

Guardian with the threat assessment aid could turn that around, though you need to get lucky shots off still with ammo to boot.
