Give The Enemy No Quarter
Pushed the crusade back across Boareskyr Bridge.

Chapter 9, Boareskyr Bridge Attack the crusader camp with or without the armies of Bridgefort and the Flaming Fist camp. Once the crusaders start to flee across the bridge, the achievement should unlock.

Not The Battle We Came For
Peacefully surrendered Bridgefort to the crusade.

Chapter 9, Bridgefort Tell Khalid to surrender Bridgefort. Once the dialogue with the Barghest is over, the achievement should unlock.

Inside Job
Sabotaged the drawbridge at Bridgefort and let the crusaders in.

Chapter 9, Bridgefort Steal the drawbridge key from Mari and lower the drawbridge yourself (or force Mari to do it) and let the crusaders in. Once the dialogue with the Barghest is over, the achievement should unlock.

A Critical Moment
Saved Boareskyr Bridge from destruction at the hands of the crusade.

Chapter 9, Boareskyr Bridge Unlocked during the story. After dealing with the siege of Bridgefort, the crusade tries to destroy Boareskyr Bridge. Stop them.

Your Father's Grave
Reached Boareskyr Bridge, the site of Bhaal's death.

Chapter 9, Boareskyr Bridge Unlocked during the story. After you've dealt with the siege of Bridgefort, try to cross the bridge. The achievement should unlock after the cutscene.

Dark Places
Entered the caverns beneath Dragonspear Castle.

Chapter 10, Underground River Entrance Unlocked during the story. Enter the cave to the underground river.

Defender
Successfully defended the coalition camp from attack.

Chapter 10, Coalition Camp Unlocked during the story. When the Coalition Camp is under attack by Caelar's forces, defend the camp through various waves. Once it is over, the achievement should unlock.

The Hard Way
Picked the least suitable units to fight the crusaders at the coalition camp.

Chapter 10, Coalition Camp When the Coalition Camp is under attack, Caelar's forces will attack in four waves. You have to choose from your own units who should fight during the first three waves. For this achievement you'll need to pick the least suitable ones. There are more variations for the achievement, but this one worked for me:
  • First wave with trolls: pick the rogues
  • Second wave with mages: pick the archers
  • Third wave with troops: pick the wizard slayers
Once you defeat the leader of the fourth wave, the orog Grimgor, the achievement will unlock.

Stand Alone
Defeat the elite crusader Ashatiel in a one on one battle.

Chapter 11, Dragonspear Castle Exterior Once you encounter the celestial Ashatiel, simply challenge and kill her. Don't let your party members interfere or else the achievement won't trigger.
Note: Do not challenge her if you want the achievement "All the Enemies", for it will cause nearly all other enemies to flee the battlefield.

Thorough
Defeated the elite crusaders guarding the rear of Dragonspear Castle.

Chapter 11, Dragonspear Castle Exterior During your assault on Dragonspear Castle, head north (after you encountered Ashatiel) and kill all remaining elite crusaders. The achievement will unlock once the last one is dead.

You Chose... Poorly
Thrix claimed a party member's soul.

Chapter 12, Avernus Bridge Answer Thrix's riddle wrong while bargaining a companion's soul and the achievement should unlock once the dialogue is over.
[Fixed in v2.5]
Bugged! Workaround: After Thrix ended the dialogue and vanishes, immediately press pause (but before your companion starts complaining). It should trigger the achievement. If not, try to quicksave while the game is still paused.
There's also an unofficial fix made by badungu here[forums.beamdog.com] or use the ingame console:

Divine Pact
Recruited Caelar Argent to your side.

The Devil You Know
Destroyed the devil Belhifet.

Chapter 12, Avernus Tower Unlocked during the story. Kill the final boss.

Atonement
Left Caelar Argent behind to guard the portal to the Prime Material Plane.

Chapter 12, Avernus Tower Convince Caelar to join you against Belhifet and make sure she survives the final battle. The achievement should unlock once you're back on the Prime Material Plane.

The Last Duty
Left Aun Argent behind to guard the portal to the Prime Material Plane.

Chapter 12, Avernus Tower Let Caelar become Belhifet's blackguard and then kill them both and free Aun Argent. The achievement should unlock once you're back on the Prime Material Plane.
Main Quest, part 2
...because of character limit.

It Wasn't Me!
Convinced Duke Belt that you weren't responsible for Skie's murder.

Chapter 13, Baldur's Gate Do not incriminate yourself during your trial. You have to present at least 3 pieces of evidence that prove your innocence:
  • Tell the Bhaal priestess Madele to make amends.
  • Don't poison the crusade's supplies in the castle basement.
  • Cure the ill soldiers within the Coalition Camp.
  • Do not offer a companion's soul to Thrix, even if you win. You can choose your own soul, though.
  • High reputation (Dialogue option: "My deeds are well known throughout the land [...]" )
  • Play as a paladin
The achievement should unlock once your trial is over and you're back in prison.

I Don't Care
Convinced Corwin that you did not commit murder.

Chapter 13, Baldur's Gate Incriminate yourself during your trial (meaning: the exact opposite of the list above) or simply don't defend yourself at all. Escape the prison then through the sewers where you encounter Duncan Bence and Corwin. When confronted by Corwin, surrender to her, she will then believe you and turn on Bence and unlock the achievement for you.

Grim Deeds to Come...
Fell to attackers outside Baldur's Gate.

Chapter 13, Outside Baldur's Gate Unlocked during the story. Once you've finished the game and saw the last cutscene, this achievement should unlock automatically.
[Fixed in v2.5]

Companion Quests
Party Time!

The O.G.
Reunite with old friends.

Anytime Have Minsc, Dynaheir, Khalid, Jaheira and Safana in the party.
You can recruit Minsc, Dynaheir and Safana after the starting dungeon in Baldur's Gate. Jaheira will wait for you in the Troll Claw Woods in Chapter 9, while Khalid hides within Boareskyr Bridge.
This achievement can also be unlocked in the main game, not sure if this is a bug.

Newer Kids on the Block
Have Corwin, Glint, M'Khiin and Voghiln in the same party.

Anytime Pretty much self explanatory.
You can recruit Corwin and Glint at the beginning of Chapter 8 in the Flaming Fist camp in Coast Way Crossing. M'Khiin is north of there in Baeloth's Black Pit. Voghiln will meet you along with Jaheira in the Troll Claw Woods in Chapter 9.

Unpopular
Have Baeloth, Viconia, M'Khiin, Dorn and Edwin in the same party.

Anytime Pretty much self explanatory.
You can recruit Viconia when you march out of Baldur's Gate. In Coast Way Crossing, you run into Edwin once you leave the Flaming Fist camp. Baeloth and M'Khiin are north of the camp. In Chapter 9, you can find Dorn within the crusader camp in Boareskyr Bridge.

Get Out!
Get the strange voice out of Neera's head.

Chapter 9, Bridgefort Once you meet Neera, she will complain about a certain voice in her head and ask you to retrieve five items for her (she doesn't have to be in the party).
  • Potion of Perception - various merchants
  • Giant Spider Leg - Forest of Wyrms, within the spider lair
  • Planetar Feather - Boareskyr Bridge, chest within the crusader camp (can either be bought or stolen)
  • Belladonna - Bloodbark Grove, bush in the middle of the map
  • Turnip Juice - Coalition Camp (Chapter 10), help the gnome Wilhelmina to set up shop and you get the juice as a reward
Talk to her once you have all five items; she will get the voice out and you will get the achievement.

Family Reunion
Track down all of Glint's family members.

Chapter 9, Bridgefort Have Glint in the party when you meet his uncle, Hoach Randymonk, to start the quest. Another one, Pritchard, is in the Coalition Camp (Chapter 10) and the last one, Rhonda, is in the Warrens beneath Dragonspear Castle (access through the Underground River). Glint has to be in the party when you talk to them.
[Fixed in v2.5]
If the achievement won't trigger right after finishing the quest, go back to the Coalition Camp.

Harper's Gift
Aid Khalid with his romantic request.

Chapter 9, Boareskyr Bridge Some time after Khalid joined your party, he will ask you to find some spider silk (either within the spider lair in the Forest of Wyrms or in Dead Man's Pass). Give him the silk and some time and he will ask for an aquamarine gem. Give him the gem and get the achievement in return.

Grub... Doubled
Help M'Khiin find her path.

Chapter 10, Kanaglym After reaching Kanaglym, head to the right and search the rubble. M'Khiin will initiate a dialogue where you have to choose a "path" for her. When the dialogue ends, the achievement will unlock.

Dumathoin's Disappointment
Destroyed the lich Coldhearth and his phylactery.

Kill the lich and quickly find his phylactery (the lich will respawn after a short time). Throw it into the portal to the Fire Plane (south-west of the map) to destroy the lich once and for all. Talk again with the clerics back on the upper level to get the achievement.

Strange Bedfellow
Delivered the amulets of his former companions to Coldhearth.

Chapter 8, Repository of Undeath When you encounter the lich Coldhearth, don't kill him, but accept his quest instead. Get back to the dwarven clerics, kill them and collect their amulets. Once you have all five, return to Coldhearth and finish the quest to get the achievement. But don't speak to the lich again before you have five amulets or he will turn hostile.

He's Just Misunderstood
Side with Tsolak the vampire.

Chapter 8, Coast Way Forest At night, speak with the vampire hunters Isabella and Ikros and side with the vampire. The achievement should unlock once his messenger reaches you at the beginning of Chapter 9.
Note: You can't side with the vampire if you play as a paladin (unless you're a Blackguard).
Side Quests - Chapter 9
Various achievements you can get during Chapter 9.

Darkseer
Use infravision to navigate an area of darkness.

Chapter 9, Temple of Cyric Get the wardstone from Akanna.

Seeker of Secrets
Discovered a secret chamber and the treasure hidden within.

Chapter 9, Temple of Cyric In the hallway (south-east of the map) there's a wall with six masks on it. Touching the masks in the right order (found in Sarevok's notes within Korlasz's Family Crypt - it's 3-1-4) will open a hidden door. Enter the room (beware its guardian) to unlock the achievement.

String Cutter
Destroyed the mind flayer Darskhelin.

Chapter 9, Temple of Cyric Kill the illithid within the reliquary.

Diffusion
Stopped the sickening energy emanating from the spellstone.

Well Done
Deal with an angry water elemental.

Chapter 9, Boareskyr Bridge Once you've crossed the bridge, you'll see an old well nearby. If you place a weapon in the well, you'll summon an annoyed water elemental. Deal with it to get the achievement.
(If you have a certain chicken in your inventory, you can also place it into the well to trigger a funny dialogue with your party members.)
Side Quests - Chapter 10
Various achievements you can get during Chapter 10.

Detailed Investigation
Find the traitor within the coalition camp.

Chapter 10, Coalition Camp After speaking with the camp commanders, the quest "The Traitor" will be triggered by Safana (she doesn't have to be in the party, just stand near her). Finish the quest by finding the "real" traitor Malden Col to get the achievement.

Whipped Into Shape
Train all of Vigilant Hasalan's recruits properly.

Chapter 10, Coalition Camp During the quest "Troop Train" talk to the recruits Garrold, Taield, Danine, Clovista, Morlis and Hester and train them to impress Vigilant Hasalan.
Apparently it depends on your class how good you can train them. But some party members can help you out:
  • Garrold: Edwin or Dynaheir
  • Taield: Jaheira
  • Danine: Safana
  • Clovista: M'Khiin or Glint
  • Morlis: Dorn
  • Hester: M'Khiin or Viconia
Having at least three of them trained by your party members should always get you the achievement, no matter what class you play.

Urge to Kill
Killed Nüber.

Chapter 10, Dead Man's Pass Locate Nüber south of the map and kill him (three times) to unlock the achievement.
Or test your patience and let him talk to you until he goes home, which gives you 1000 xp but no achievement.

Appeal to Reason
Present evidence of the crusader's crimes to Julann.

Chapter 10, Underground River Entrance
Note: Julann and Rigah will only talk to you if you have Minsc and Dynaheir in the party!
Julann wants to join the crusade. Show her Hephernaan's Ritual Notes (which can be found in a chest in Kanaglym) and even if you can't convince her, the achievement should still unlock.

Breaking Point
Persuade Rigah to turn against Julann.

Chapter 10, Underground River Entrance
Note: Julann and Rigah will only talk to you if you have Minsc and Dynaheir in the party!
Before bringing Hephernaan's Ritual Notes to Julann, talk to Rigah. He questions Julann's decision to join the crusade. Tell him to turn on her. The journal will then state that he's depressed and you can show Julann the Ritual Notes. When Julann says that "anyone could have written these papers" tell Rigah that his witch has become corrupt and then kill her to unlock the achievement.

Nature Lover
Sided with the surface druids at the underground river entrance.

Chapter 10, Underground River Entrance Speak to the druids Jamven and Chorster (north-west of the map) and agree to kill the dark druid Ferrusk (within the Underground River). Once you've finished the quest, the achievement should unlock. (if not, then re-enter the Underground River)
[Fixed in v2.5]

Dark Ally
Sided with Ferrusk at the dark druid circle.

Chapter 10, Underground River Talk to the druid Ferrusk (south-east of the map) and accept his quest to kill his former druid friends. Head outside to the Underground River Entrance and kill the druids Jamven and Chorster. Then go back to Ferrusk to get the achievement.

Trivium
Perform a task worthy of the Terrible Trivium.

Chapter 10, Underground River Speak to Ladle and ask for work. He wants you to move a lot of heavy sacks to another crate. Do so and speak to him again. Now move all the sacks back to the original crate. The Terrible Trivium would be proud of you.

I suggest you combine Dorn with some boots of speed or a haste spell to speed things up - you have a war to win after all.

A Reunion of Friends
Reunited the spirits of Daeros Dragonspear and Halatathlaer.

Chapter 10, Underground River Speak to the ghost of the dragon Halatathlaer and free it from the necromancers in Kanaglym, then go to the Dragonspear Castle basement and speak to Daeros Dragonspear's ghost in Hephernaan's chambers. He will rejoin his dragonfriend on the Fugue Plane and the achievement will unlock.

Defeated the cabal of wizards hiding within lost Kanaglym.

Chapter 10, Kanaglym The achievement should unlock once you kill the necromancer leader, Kherrium.

Blessed By Talona
Poisoned supplies within Dragonspear Castle.

Chapter 10, Dragonspear Castle Basement In the basement are food and water supplies, poison one (or both for double xp) with the poison you get from de Lancie and the achievement will unlock.

Hasty Retreat
Discovered Hephernaan within Dragonspear Castle.

Chapter 10, Dragonspear Castle Basement Once you've entered the basement, go to Hephernaan's chambers and pay him a visit. When he's near death, he will teleport away and the achievement will unlock.
Note: If you enter the basement and get back to the Coalition Camp before talking to Hephernaan, a messenger will inform you that Caelar wants a parlay. If you then go back into the basement, Hephernaan will be gone and you've missed the achievement.
Miscellaneous
And at last the time-consuming achievements, which takes more than one chapter to unlock. Sorry, couldn't think of a proper title for this section.

Explorer
Explore all unique encounters.

There are a total of 4 encounters during your travels. They are not chapter-bound and can happen at any time. Just make sure to travel a lot. The achievement will be unlocked once you reach the last one.

Orcs vs. Trolls encounter:

Young Green Dragon vs. Hill Giants encounter:

Goblin ambush:

Shadowy Figure ambush:

Far Out
Summon three creatures to the Prime Material Plane using the Spectacles of Spectacle.

When you equip the Spectacles of Spectacle (head slot), you'll get a notification every time you see a creature on a different plane. Use a charge of the spectacles via the quick slot button to "pull" the creature to you. You only have three charges, so choose wisely.
  • Chapter 7, Elfsong Tavern: Al-Alai (a Fire Elemental); hostile
  • Chapter 8, Coast Way Crossing: a gauth; hostile if you're not a mage
  • Chapter 9, Bugbear Caverns: a Greater Shadow; can be persuaded to kill the bugbears

All the Allies
Recruit all the bonus allies possible for the final battle.

In Chapter 11, during your assault on Dragonspear Castle, it is possible for you to have a few more allies depending on your prior choices. For this achievement you need two ogres and a golem.
  • Golem [Chapter 8, Coast Way Crossing]
When you encounter the mage Teleria in the forest clearing during the quest "The Vanished", ask her to sell the golem to you.
  • Slug and Murs (the ogres) [Chapter 10, Underground River Entrance]
Once you encounter the ogres, fight as Murs' champion and then agree to find her mate Slug. He can be found and freed in the Dragonspear Warrens (access through the Underground River). Return to Murs and ask them to fight beside you.
Possibly bugged! You won't get the achievement, if you use the barrel of Bwoosh and get through the main entrance. Instead enter Dragonspear Castle through the weak wall at the side.

All the Enemies
Fight all the bonus enemies possible at the final battle.

In Chapter 11, during your assault on Dragonspear Castle, it is possible for you to encounter various enemies depending on your prior choices. You need all of them for this achievement to unlock.
  • Delgar Munsch [Chapter 9, Boareskyr Bridge]
Surrender Bridgefort to the crusade for him to appear in Dragonspear Castle.
  • Julann & Rigah [Chapter 10, Underground River Entrance]
Make sure they leave for Dragonspear Castle.
  • Strunk [Chapter 10, Underground River]
    Don't interfere with his magic.
During the assault, do NOT challenge the celestial Ashatiel one-on-one, for this will cause others to flee the battlefield, including your bonus enemies. The achievement will unlock once you've killed the last of them.

Riddlemaster
Answered the menhir's riddle, Vidyadhar's riddle and Thrix's riddle correctly.

  • Menhir [Chapter 8, Coast Way Crossing]
When doing the "Ancient Menhirs" quest, sing to the one next to the stone statues with a low charisma character. It will then ask you a riddle and the correct answer is "The wind blowing in a tree next to a river."
  • Vidyadhar [Chapter 10, Underground River]
You can locate Vidyadhar in the same room as the two sahuagin, though you have to pull it with the Spectacles of Spectacle to the Prime Material Plane first. The correct answer for the rakshasa's riddle is "Bees"
  • Thrix [Chapter 12, Avernus Bridge]
Once you encounter the devil Thrix, bargain the soul of one of your companions and answer his riddle correctly with "Murder"

It wasn't me achievement:
With a reputation of only 13.
Presenting TWO evidences that don't incriminate me, I was able to get this achievement. You need a high reputation but I can assure you that 13 is enough. The reputation category says "popular" so maybe this is the bare minimum for reputation requirements. 12 is average so I would not stay to risk it.
Also at the end, some party members start leaving, even if they are evil and supposedly decrease reputation for joining, you do NOT get those reputation points back. Just FYI, that's all.

Not The Battle We Came For. At first didn’t get, I thought it was a bug, but when I used a scroll to clean a stone (diffusion achievement), and then capitulated, it work.
Four on One. I went upstairs alone and won - didn’t get. I kicked everyone out of the group, went upstairs and won - it work.
Trivium. I get it, but on second try. Don't know why.
Harper's Gift. I spent my nerves, loaded different saves and ran around looking for this stone. It drops from evil druid in underground cave.

I would rather this was in chronological order rather than categorized by quest type, it's difficult to jump around, but thanks for making this nonetheless :)

There is a relative of Glint in Cave of the lost in Underground river. They tell you to bring their bodies into Kanaglym's Fugue Plane chasm. Don't know if this is related to Glint's quest, though. They thank Glint when this is done

is there any trick or bug with the dark ally achievement? i killed druids and gave to ferrusk their heads, got no achievement
PseudoSherlock 24 Sep, 2022 @ 11:33am
Note regarding the OG Achievement: ihatemundays suggestions work IF you import a Good-aligned solo character, maybe even Neutral, in Siege of Dragonspear. I imported an Evil character and was given a selection of the Evil characters from BG1. I went out, imported a Paladin, and it worked.
ihatemundays 12 Sep, 2022 @ 6:56pm
Here's an easy way to get The O.G. achievement. Import a single character into a new game of Siege of Dragonspear. It will setup a party including Khalid, Minsc, Jaheira, Safana, and Dynaheir.
