FPS Boost (Get more FPS)
By DIAMOND
This is a little guide where you can learn how to get more FPS in We Happy Few.

1. Put "-console" in Library -> We Happy Few -> PROPERTIES -> GENERAL -> SET LAUNCH OPTIONS
2. Reduce your graphics to LOW (you can put the maximum resolution instead)
3. Open the console (doesn't matter if you are in-game or in main menu) by pressing "~" (under ESC button)
4. Type in console "r.ViewDistanceScale 0.001"
5. Type in console "r.TextureStreaming 0"
6. Type in console "r.ShadowQuality 0" -> This thing will disable partially in-game shadows
7. Type in console "r.FinishCurrentFrame 0"

(Note from dev)
r.screenpercentage 60 ... 100 (lower = bad quality, better FPS. higher = better quality, lower FPS)

That's all that I've found more helpful to boost your framerate. If you have any tips leave them here and I'll update it!

Thanks! Have fun!

For everyone who wasn't helped by this guide, it is because it is for the first few releases of the game when they were still figuring stuff out with the game (the devs). Anw, you'll have to:

• Open file explorer and head to “Documents” here you should find a folder named “My Games” inside you should see “We Happy Few”.

• From “We Happy Few” head to “Config” then “WindowsNoEditor” at this point you should see a file named “Input” inside should be empty.

• Copy this into the empty space and save.

[/script/glimpsegame.glimpseconsole]
bConsoleEnabled=True

• Go to steam and open your library. Right click on “We Happy Few” and find properties. You should see “launch options” enter -console in the box then click OK.

FPS is not really a big factor for a stealth game this slow paced. I think If you feel your game is running bad I would make sure you have the hardware to play it. (recammended specs) This kind of game is based on artstyle and story, not split second bullets to the face. I would suggest getting a hardware monitor and see what your Issues are if you are having a hard time running it. I like afterburner, but there are others. Even windows is updateing theirs. It lacks temps, and a few other things, but it will let you know if you are overloaded in an area.

This is a game based on story and looks, I would not suggest turning down settings just to play it. I would tell you to look into updated hardware.

Also writing r.screenpercentage below 100 will lower the resolution of the game without making the UI pixelated. over 100 makes the game look sharper but reduces framerate
