The purpose of this guide is to help players with detailed information about tech tree (research) organizations and upgradings, along with short descriptions for each of the nodes in the tree. I tried to be as thorough as possible when creating the guide, if you thought something is missing, please tell me in the comment, thanks.

Overview of the tech tree

Each of the node in the tree (of course) denotes technologies/infrastructures/etc available to be unlocked in the game. To unlock them you will need to hire scientists to research them. When you completed the research, new nodes will be available for researching further. These unlocked nodes can also be upgraded with upgrade points (gaining from free scientists) which will make machine runs cheaper, better drugs bonus, new functionality to the machine, etc.

Regarding the upgrade, not all nodes can be upgraded, for example, base infrastructures nodes cannot be upgraded since there's no point to. Upgradable nodes can be upgraded either to level 3 or 5. The amount of upgrade points needed of each level upgrade can be seen in the table below.
