Main Weapon
Standard Musket

Your standard issue single shot musket circa 1500's.
Range: Long
Kill on Hit: Most of the time
Aim: Yes
Bleed: No
Reload Time: ~13 Seconds
Special Notes: This is probably hands down best sniping weapon in the game with very little variation in the shot, allowing for accurate hits.

Blunderbuss

A multi-shot weapon that has chance to hit multiple targets.
Range: Medium
Kill on Hit: Sometimes
Aim: No
Bleed: Yes
Reload Time: ~11 Seconds
Special notes: This weapons has ability to hit multiple targets, and generally bleeds when it doesn't kill, often causing a kill or target to need to heal themselves to staunch the bleeding. This weapon allows for a little bit less accurate aiming to be needed due to the spreading of the shots. Aiming a little high allows this weapon to get you more headshots

Nockgun

Another multi shot weapon that has a chance to hit multiple targets.
Range: Medium
Kill on Hit: Yes
Aim: No
Bleed: No
Reload Time: ~20 Seconds
Special notes: This weapon has ability to hit through multiple targets, and requires a little less accuracy due to the nature of the honey comb firing style. Aim for the body, aim at multiple people lined up. This has weapon has the highest reload time in the game.

Hand Mortar

Range: Medium
Kill on Hit: Sometimes
Aim: No
Bleed: Yes
Reload Time: ~4 Seconds
Ammo: 2
Special Notes: This weapon has a limited amount of shots, but if you're in a large match where there are a lot of people on a hoy getting ready to board you, it's the perfect choice.
Side Weapon
Standard Pistol

A standard issue pistol.
Range: Medium
Kill on Hit: Most of the time
Aim: Yes
Bleed: No
Reload: 6 Seconds
Special Notes: This weapon is the default side weapon, and is accurate, making it a companion to the musket. While a strong weapon, there are currently stronger choices for a sidearm.

Duckfoot

A multi-shot pistol that can hit multiple targets
Range: Medium
Kill on Hit: Most of the time
Aim: No
Bleed: No
Reload: ~11 Seconds
Special Notes: This weapon has a horizontal spread with medium range making it perfect for killing boarders on the nose of a ship approaching you. Additionally its horizontal spread means you only need to aim well vertically, making it a very high chance to kill your intended target from short to medium range.

Short Pistol

Range: Short
Kill on Hit: Headshots only
Aim: Yes
Bleed: No
Reload: ~4 Seconds
Special Notes: This has an incredibly fast reload time, but does not kill on hit, making it only useful if you are able to accurately make headshots with it, or if you are attacking people with health missing.

Annley Revolver

Range: Medium
Kill on Hit: Headshots only
Aim: No
Bleed: No
Reload: ~10 seconds (full) ~2 seconds (each shot)
Special Notes: This weapon also does not kill on hit, and is only useful if you are able to accurately make headshots with it. However it has 8 rounds with a fast reload mechanic, and the slow reload after those 8 shots is still a medium reload time.

Matchlock Revolver

Range: Medium
Kill on Hit: Most of the time
Aim: No
Bleed: No
Reload: ~9 seconds (full) 2.25 seconds (each shot)
Special Notes: Matchlock used to be a 3 shot- kill on hit weapon, but has recently been nerfed. This no longer being the case and the wild innacuracy of it makes the standard pistol or duckfoot a better choice of kill on hit
Melee Weapon
Note that all melee weapons seem to have a swing time of ~0.9 seconds (depending on if you click too fast) and a block time of 1.5 seconds
All weapons swing at different rates now, I'll have to see a future time about what they are.

Cutlass

The pirate sword.
Hits to Kill: 3
Chance to Bleed: Low
Range: High
Special Notes: A strong melee weapon for dueling. It's speed and range make it excellent for quick duels.

Rapier
HIts to Kill: 4
Chance to Bleed: Medium
Range: Long
Special Notes: It's high chance to bleed and long range makes this a good drawn out dueling weapon. Previously best at clearly galleon below decks, now having given that title up to the bottle.

Dagger
Hits to Kill: 4
Chance to Bleed: High
Range: Short
Special Notes: This turns out to be a really good defensive weapon, and could be a good choice for those who plan on spending their entire time below decks on a galleon, in case they get boarded is a good choice against a rapier or cutlass in an enclosed space. Blocks recovery is quick, and getting blocked has very little effect on the dagger.

Bottle
Hits to Kill:
Chance to Bleed: 100%
Range: Short
Special Notes: Originally a joke weapon, now better then the Rapier at clearing below decks on a galleon due to its 100% chance to bleed. Hit one person, move on, after you hit them all, block continuously till they all die. Rinse repeat.
Special Weapon
Grenade

An explosive device you throw.
Ammo: 2
Fuse time: ~9 seconds
Special Notes: This weapon means you're replacing your default health beverage. A player who gets good at throwing these can use them to throw across to a hoy, in a room you're likely to get ambushed in, or to kill people hiding early in a grapple. Taking this means you're not taking a health beverage, which means you should ask someone to give you one early in case you get hit so you don't bleed out.

Tomahawk

Ammo: 2
A throwable axe.
Special Notes: A bit more niche than the grenade, takes some practice and can be used to kill captains at the wheel from another ship, or kill someone without smoke residue revealing your hiding spot. In current meta, this is extremely weak.

Health Beverage

Default Choice. Very useful
Special Notes: Default choice and rightfully so as it'll save your life pretty often, saving your team tickets, and preserving your usefulness in a situation where people are needed (low pop or grapples). You can give this to other players who use grenades and tomahawks

Gotta be honest I created this a while ago and it's not really relevant anymore. The stats were constantly being rebalanced so it wasn't worth hunting the variables down.

Previously there was a different combat system involving this - potentially they never got around to updating the descriptions

How come the descriptions of some of the swords say that the slashing damage is different than the stabbing damage?? odd..
