Recommended shop Purchase order
Hello, this guide is dedicated for buying things in Ty The Tasmanian Tiger 2.
There are in total four shops. three of them you have to buy with opas. The fourth one with kromium orbs.
List of shops
  • Bri and DI's Rang Shop. level 1 Rangs (Opals)
  • Trader Bob's. Bunyip Keys and Defense Upgrades (Opals)
  • Sly's shack. Level 2 (Upgraded Rangs). (Opals)
  • Madam Mopoke's. Collectible map markers (Kromium Orbs)

Bri and Di's Rang shop
This is possibly the first shop encounter. This Shop sells level 1 Rangs.

Purchase order
  1. Smasharang (5000 Opals) This Rang is a must for every player this allows you to break metal crates, ice blocks and do more damage to enemies. This one is recommend the buy first in all the buyable things.
  2. Infrarang (4000 Opals) The second is useful for the spy mission and the ghost mission and It allows you the see invisible boxes, platforms and allows you to zoom in and fire long range.( Also if you hit a invisible platform while it is visible the platform stays visible even if you switch Rangs. Unless you leave the area of course.)
  3. Lasharang (4000 Opals) This allows you to swing on hooks and get to collectibles that you won't reach by jumping. oh you can see enemies spinning. and giving you more Opals
  4. Frostyrang (2000 opals) Frostyrang is the only Rang required to get all the missions complete There is one missions that requires you to use the Frostyrang. And it is used for reaching collectibles. (By creating ice paltform on the water.)
  5. Megarang (6000 Opals) This Rang is used for homing on far away buttons and to hit multiple enemies with one rang.
  6. Flamerang (2000 Opals) The only use for the flamerang is the burn webs to find collectibles. You can also break ice blocks but so can the Smasharang.
  7. Zappyrang (4000 Opals) The least useful of the rangs this rang is not used for anything other than for the 100%.

Trader Bob's
This shop is the second shop you may encounter. This one sells Bunyip keys and Defense Upgrades. I recommend you buy the Keys as soon as possible. It is annoying when you have to backtrack to buy a Key you will need for a mission

Purchase Order
  1. Thermo Extreme Bunyip Key (5000 Opals) This Bunyip is required to progress to the end of the game. and possibly used the most in the game other than the Battle Bunyip.
  2. Sub Bunyip Key (5000 Opals) This is the second Bunyip this is only used for 2 missions. but the sub missions comes first than the lifter Bunyip missions.
  3. Lifter Bunyip Key (5000 Opals) The last Bunyip Key. This is used 2 missions late game after third boss and a collectible.
  4. Gold Paw (20000 Opals) This is useful. It double the numbers of hit you can take before you die. (Increase it to 8 hits)
  5. Platinum Paw (75000 Opals) Not that useful than the Gold Paw because it is expensive. And it is only Purchasable if you have bought Gold Paw. it double Numbers of hits you can take to 16. And Gold Paw is enough to beat the game. Even without The Gold Paw you can beat can beat the game.

(edit) skins doesn't matter since they are cosmetic. Pick one you like :)
Trader's bob hardcore mode only
This has a bit different order (changing gold paw to first priority)

1. gold paw (20000 opals) this is a must for hardcore, this will save your live
2. Thermo Extreme Bunyip Key (5000 Opals) This Bunyip is required to progress to the end of the
game. and possibly used the most in the game other than the Battle Bunyip.
3. Sub Bunyip Key (5000 Opals) This is the second Bunyip this is only used for 2 missions. but the
sub missions comes first than the lifter Bunyip missions.
4. Lifter Bunyip Key (5000 Opals) The last Bunyip Key. This is used 2 missions late game after third
boss and a collectible.
5. Platinum Paw (75000 Opals) much more useful in hardcore mode. but the cost is what makes it a
less worth it, but you can always farm for opals :)
Sly's shack
This is possibly the last shop you encounter. And it is not in the town where the other shops are. This one sells level 2 (upgraded Rangs)

Purchase Order
  1. Warperang (10000 Opals) Possibly the most useful of them all. This is the only Rang that can be used for the purple warp things. No other rangs can do that.
  2. Xrang (11000 Opals} This is useful too, because it allows you to see to see invisible things without going to first person. and is much easier collecting concept art inside invisible boxes.
  3. Omegarang (14000 opals) This Rang is OP this is like Multirang and Megarang's son You can beat giant enemies like uber frills in a second with this Rang.
  4. Freezerang (8000 Opals), Lavarang (8000 Opals), Multirang (8000 Opals), Thunderang (10000 Opals) and Kaboomarang (12000 Opals) Order doesn't matter here. Yeah The Kaboomarang does more damage than the smasharang but it fires one at the time that goes very slow. the others not that useful than the level 1 Rangs. but it is required to get a 100%.
  5. Deadlyrang (30000 Opals) This rang is possibly the most op Rang in the game. You can sweep through large area with a lot of enemies in no time. This Rang makes the game a lot easier. (For devs: Can you make the Deadlyrang purchasable after you bought every other rang expect for the Doomerang of course.)
  6. Doomerang (75000 opals) This is a cool Rang but it has no other uses. It is expensive. And is only purchasable if you bought the Deadlyrang.

Madam Mopoke's
This is possibly the third shop you encounter. This one sells: collectibles map marker
Order doesn't matter here because it is helpful but useless if you found every collectibles.
The last you properly you buy is the Mysterious Anomalies Map. (Gooboo Steve) This map marker is a waste, Gooboo Steve is the easiest collectible to find. Easier than the kromium orbs you have to buy with.
The rest are: Cog Map(cogs) and Missing Person map (bilbies) buy one which ever you like.
(Each cost 10 Kromium orbs.)

If you like skins then I would recommend buy the cog map first.

Conclusion
Hope you like this guide and I hope it helps you.

Total Opals/ Kromium Orbs to buy everything: 30 Kromium Orbs and 322000 Opals

feedback appreciated

Have a nice day :D

Yes. And if I talk to him again now, there is no cutscene only talking. Can you tell me the location of at least one of the spys in Mount DOOM? So I can go over and see for myself if I'm just blind or not.
