Ok, so some people are already getting game breaking bugs.

Since we don't have manual saving, once the one and only save gets bugged, that's it, gg. This is Syberia, not Iron Man Dark Souls.

Ok so the one and only save is located here.

C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\LocalLow\Microids\Syberia3

The AppData will be hidden so make sure you enable show hidden folders in folder options

There should be a folder named Options and a file.

That file is your save, it's overwritten every time the game saves.

In the top right corner you will see a set of gears when it's saving.

It will only save after you load to a new area and/or only after you advance the story in any way

All you need to do is copy that file somewhere safe when you want to manually save or do a back up.

If you ever need to load it again, just delete your current save (or copy it somewhere safe too) and copy the old save back. Then just start the game

You'll find some helpful savegame files on the official support webpage if you google for "syberia 3 savegames". But I'd only recommend if you broke your game.
Btw. that "options" sub-folder is NOT the savegame file but just the storage file of you game settings

So backup/restore of "options" won't help you.

I am on the Krystal and pick up a notebook or something . It goes into my backpack and find its not there. Also when I quit now it shows that I am back outside and has not saved my game when I went out HELP

game crashed after 10 hours! right at the Amusement Park also. I can move but cannot interact with anything. No refund because I played more than the 2 hour policy. bites

anyone have a save file when you get to the amusment park i sadly have a bug with oscar and have not been able to progress since the game I can move about but can't interact or open doors etc.released for mac operating system

i kept copying that options file to my desktop (by renaming it OptionsFile1,2 and so on) while i was playing the game
when i missed an achievement i tried loading one of the older files by replacing the actual file through the old one but it doesnt work. (i named it back to OptionsFile, without the number)

soo...as i was playing the game crashed and when i went to reload it, it says that the save was corrupt and it was deleted..so now i have to start the game from the beginning which i will not do. This is by far the most half-assed shit ive ever played. What a complete and utter disappointment. For months after i bought the game it wouldnt even play, when it finally did I decided to give it another chance and now this. I mean come on.

Thanks dude, i can't load the save since i had a infinite loading. I think i must wait for an update i tryed everything, it won't launch it.

Thanks, weird that I only noticed that once switching over to a controller. Maybe I was just not seeing it there using a keyboard/mouse, but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't there.
