1. Right click on Penumbra: Black Plague in your library.

2. Go to Local Files and click on Browse local files. It should be this path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Penumbra Black Plague\redist

3. Right click on 'Penumbra.exe' and create a desktop shortcut.

4. Go to your desktop, right click on the Penumbra shortcut and go to Properties. Now go to Compatibility and select Windows 7. Click on Apply and Accept.

Now you can play Penumbra: Black Plague on Windows 10 without any problems. If you have the white texture bug, then check the other guides for that.

Note: You can add the shortcut to Steam if you prefer, so you can use the chat, browser, etc. while you play.

If you right click on the exe and apply the compatibility settings to it, then they should apply regardless of where you run it from. That way you don't need the shortcut and can play direct from steam.
