Problem
You are tired of going through the pause menu for millionth time.
Solution
Press RT+Back during cutscenes (R2+Select with DualShocks.)

Kb+m guys can press LShift+Enter for the same effect with the default binding. (It would be LShift+Tab for consistency but it's not; I'm guessing they have avoided a conflict with Steam overlay which has the same keyboard shortcut by default.)
Tips
You can either hold the trigger then press select/back, or press them simultaneously. Holding select/back first then pressing the trigger does not work.

This trick also works for the short cutscene before Angel Attack minigame as well.
Acknowledgements
Thanks to 🌈Naughty Bunny🌈 for the correction on the keyboard shortcut.
Thanks to Tiphereth for the tips on Angel Attack.
