Windows 10 bricked my soundcard and the game didn't let me change the setting, so I couldn't communicate with my teammates effectively through the game itself.

When trying to change the recording device from the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive [OPTIONS > AUDIO SETTINGS > MIC SETUP] you might find the "CHANGE DEVICE..." button greyed out.

Instead, go to the Steam client on your desktop, and in the top left pick [Steam > Settings > Voice] and you might find the "CHANGE DEVICE..." available there. It seems to be the same menu, but the one in CS:GO mysteriously doesn't work.

Failing that, my Teamspeak, Discord, and Ventrillo worked fine, so those are options if you still can't get the Steam setting to work.
