Ion Rifle Adjustment Update – Vior'la Boogaloo Mod (be sure to update when you can!)

The Ion Rifle’s standard shot ammo was too high at 20, allowing it to easily snipe infantry and overshadow the Rail Rifle. It’s now reduced to 5 shots per magazine. However, the standard shot now has a small 2m explosive radius, adding the expected "Ion Rifle" feel while reducing its infantry effectiveness with its limited shots per mag.

The Ion Rifle's scope zoom has been reduced by 45%, strengthening the Rail Rifle’s role in long-range combat.

Ion Overcharge had a mortar-like radius, often wiping out enemies nowhere near the impact zone. It’s now reduced to 5m, with shrapnel dealing the AOE damage, preventing overkill (e.g., striking a Leman and causing an enemy squad 30m away to die as well). It still retains its effectiveness against armor however.

These changes aim to keep the Ion Rifle impactful but prevent it from being overly spammable and trivializing infantry with overcharge volleys constantly, and its overabundant standard shot magazine amount. With reduced zoom and ammo economy, the standard shot will feel more impactful without overshadowing the Rail Rifle or other T’au infantry weapons.

* Although a really neat launcher since its release we had a problem with the launcher dipping down to the ground/floor *BIG MEMES*, no more! Missile will now fly normally and won't hit the ground.
