Project Eden 2 Alpha:
Current testing needs:
All starting planets and progression through the starting systems.
Orbits and asteroid fields.
Planet types: Most variations of temperate-like, desert, ocean, swamp, alien, arid, tropical planets. Any temperate-like moons.
Barren and lava moons.
General combat and building.

A new save game is recommended for this update.

Starting Planets:
  • Updated junk POIs on starter planets with new RG2 versions. Added more junk sites to Akua, Tallodar, Omicron, Roggery, Ningues a moderate distance from the crash site.
  • Added placeholder starter crashed ship wrecks.
  • Increased density of surface ore rocks by 25% in crash site and grove biomes on Akua and Tallodar.
  • Increased availability of fire moss scrapings on Akua, Tallodar, Omicron, Roggery, Ningues, Uia, and Masperon.
  • Disabled bandit traps on wrecks in starter orbits.
  • Increased random T1 wreckage in starter orbits by 50%.
  • Fixed drone base not spawning on Ningues.

Misc:
  • Set default space defense probabilities to 0.
  • Fixed broken Desert Oasis planets. (only applies to new star systems).
  • Added 2 new types of lava moons, includng one that used to be in an early version of Project Eden.
  • Updated POI configs for barren and lava moons. Please give feedback.
  • Increased CPU output of auxiliary CPU cores to match increased CPU extender values of RG2.
  • Added more deco POIs. A massive thanks to Commander Qtatron, DarkestWarrior, Ente, and Stan for submitting amazing POIs for this!

Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Updated story missions again with starter mission visibility on other starter planets.
  • Updated Heidelberg with new dialog container and constructor log panel.
  • Reduced CV/BA Shield Booster power consumption by 20%.
  • Increased CPU from all CPU Extenders across the board. I was going to wait until the end of development to add this bonus.
  • Rewrote the sentinel troops' config (experimental) that will stop them from shooting through walls and improve pathing behavior when encountering a player.
    A side-effect of this is that the sentinels play their death animation twice like civilians. I don't know why or how.
  • Fixed bug where the HV/SV Laser Turret ammo wasn't craftable.
  • HV/SV Gatling Turrets can be crafted in the HV and SV constructor.
  • Added new junk POIs for the starting planet crashsite.
  • Added new colonist defense POIs.
  • Added sulfur drops to yellow/orange surface rocks.
  • Reduced CPU consumption of Drills and Drill Turrets.
  • Increased gatling turret's unique bonus from +25% vs entities to +50%.
  • Zirax and most wildlife can now be stunned or set on fire by the player. (In theory)
  • Flamethrowers now set enemies on fire. DC17 Can stun with secondary fire.

Misc:
  • Updated Abandoned POI spawns on Akua, Tallodar, Roggery, and Omicron. Now some of them can be found outside of radiated biomes.
  • Adjusted deposits on Akua, Tallodar, Omicron, Roggery, and Ningues to increase the size of some of them.
  • Added water bottles to starting equipment on Ningues and Sienna.
  • Adjusted patrol route of the Zirax patrol vessel in the starter orbit to move it further away from the planet and wormhole. Lowered the patrol route length to 5km.
  • Added warning from IDA when approaching the Zirax patrol route for the first time in the starter orbit.
  • Updated Continue or Quit error message popup with a reminder to please not submit errors to the game developers and instead to go to the workshop or ask your server admin for support.
  • Removed Farr from spawning in Polaris territory until their POIs can be updated. They will still be found in Farr territory but will not have the proper shield generators or other updates for RG2 yet.
  • Updated Arid planets to new decoration system using vanilla config.
  • Adjusted climate ranges on G, G2, G3, G4, A4V-G2 class stars in an attempt to increase solar power production. Please test for both appearances, solar system map readability, and solar power in space and on planets and moons. In general, planets and sectors should be closer to the star on average which means slightly more solar power production.
  • Adjusted planet locations in Alpha starter system to improve solar power on Akua, Tallodar, and the desert planets. Might not help much as solar power drops off sharply after 2.5AU.
  • Added more deco POIs (thanks to Ente, DarkestWarrior, Stan, Commander Qtatron).

POI Updates:
Updated many planet types including most types of desert and temperate-like planets with new RE2 POI spawn groups and setups, new drone and patrol vessel configs, and new NPC patrol spawning.
Please explore any desert, temperate, ocean, swamp, or arid class planets you come across throughout the galaxy and give feedback on POI spawning, etc.
Also did global replacements on all playfields to convert most vanilla or RE1 POI groups to the RE2 versions.
Many POIs will be placeholder or just outright missing, so there's still a lot of work to do on this but probably 80% of old POI spawn groups have been updated so far.
As a reminder, you may encounter various problems with any POI that has not yet been updated for RE2 such as missing turrets, inaccessible shield generators, incorrect shield values, poor risk/reward balancing, missing NPCs, or other errors. Please do not report these issues at this time, there is a long list of POIs that need to be updated.


Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Tribal Deco can now be accessed through the control panel (again) and will autogroup into the equipment group.
  • Adjusted HV/SV Generator HP so they get higher with device quality, instead of all over the place.
  • Disabled main story missions from activating on starter planets that don't have the missions.
  • Reduced mass of SV Constructor.
  • Added 4 new Colonist Colony POIs (3 planet, 1 water).
  • Fixed issue where MarketCafe trader would give imaginary soup as a quest reward. Now gives salad instead.
  • Corrected stone>graphite crafting ratio
  • Herbal Tea now treats Fever.
  • Increased warp drive HP.
  • Replaced the vanilla yellow "NOT ALLOWED!" on faction-locked devices with a simple red "Access Denied".
  • There's a world of difference between a personal "NOT ALLOWED!" that's yelled at the person playing the game by the developers and a mechanical "Access Denied" that's shown to the character by a locking mechanism.
  • Added new sentinel versions of normal Zirax Troops.
  • They are functionally the same as normal zirax troops except they stay where they spawn until they see a player. So you don't walk into a room with 4 zirax standing in the corner staring at the wall.
  • Spaceport Trader missions now give reputation based on the faction of the structure... in theory. (please test)
  • All Mining operations POI give 100 rep per mission for their faction. (Also please test)
  • Added decorative mining rigs.

  • Added smuggler barges and sunken village ruins to swamp and mire planets.
  • Updated more PE block and item market prices.
  • Attempted to fix gold and carbon in the ground on Roggery.
  • Added a secret to Roggery to find a sunken village ruins.
  • Replaced all RG1 drone bases with RG2 versions on all playfields.
  • Removed NoShieldReload setting for all POIs in all playfields. Planetary POI shield generators will be externally mounted for RE2 POIs.
  • Updated Irradiated, Jungle, and Alien planets and Temperate Moon (1 type) for RE2 POI groups.
  • Updated hot asteroid fields (only poor ones so far).
  • Updated Legacy asteroid fields in BH and other exotic systems.
  • Set it so only updated asteroid fields should spawn in neutral territory.
  • Globally replaced some vanilla and RE1 POI groups to the RE2 versions across all playfields.
  • Removed many older combat, exploration, mining, and hacking sites. These will need to be remade for RE2.
  • Lowered quantity and size of cobalt surface rocks in jungle oasis biome on Roggery.
  • Added placeholder POIs for Ghyst.


Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Added new traders for the Colonist factions. Colonist traders will have their own missions, but are at this time undefined.
  • Fixed incorrect CPU displayed on HV Medium Plasma Thruster parent block.
  • Fixed Bioethanol not being available in constructors. Now unlocked in the tech tree.
  • Reverted drill mode changes to HV drills because they made everything worse.
  • Replaced Capacitors with Aluminium Foil for SV Basic CPU Extender.
  • Reduced Energy consumption of HV/SV Drills by 20%.
  • Reduced Energy consumption of HV/SV Shield Boosters.
  • Tribal Deco can now be accessed through the control panel.
  • Added Debug Multitool.
  • Fixed Graphite Deposits not being autominable... probably.
  • Updated Graphite with new HD item icon to match the new icons.
  • Added first new Colonist Colony POI.
  • Updated asset bundles. Flamethrower impacts produce less particles.

Starting planets:
  • Updated all starter planets for survival RE2 compatibility (POIs, starting equipment, etc). More tweaking will be needed in the future.
  • Added Tallodar back as a medium sized temperate starting planet. Meant as an alternative to Akua with no missions or story POIs.
  • Updated creative start on Tallodar, Omicron, Roggery, and Ningues.
  • Updated starter planet selection preview images for dedicated servers for all planets. Please let me know how they look now.
  • Lowered temperature of Crashsite on Omicron by 10 degrees.
  • Replaced sniper patrols with minigun patrols for rogue starters except near Promethium deposits.
  • Updated starter mission on Dread to be more immersive. Following it will now give the player enough xp to reach level 12 (needed for SV warp drives).

Planet updates:
The following planets have been updated: Temperate, Brooding Temperate, Temperate Rainforest, Strange Temperate, Temperate Plateau, Swamp, Mire.
You can find these planets randomly throughout the galaxy. Please give any feedback on POI spawn density, etc.
Important notes:
The new drone base setup is currently bugged and has been reported so I am using the old one for now. Until the new one is fixed, it is not possible to give each faction their own faction themed drones. And even when it is fixed that may not be possible. This is a game bug/limitation I can do nothing about.
So yes, Polaris will still be guarded by Polaris faction Zirax drone types. Again, there is absolutely nothing I can do about this for now, and possibly not ever.
There is a bug with patrol vessels where sometimes they will spawn without a faction. This needs to be reproduced and reported in a vanilla save. Preferrably by somebody else as I already spent about 8 hours testing and reporting game bugs today and am burnt out on it.
POIs are definitely a work in progress. Many new ones will need to be made to fit the different planets (for example Talon stilt villages and pirate barges for swamp planets, etc).
For now POI setup will feel light and generic as I have removed most old vanilla and RE1 POI spawning from the updated planets and have only a limited set of generic RE2 POIs to spawn from.
  • Updated POI configs with new RE2 POI groups. Removed all old POIs.
  • Added temporary placeholder POIs for POIs that aren't yet updated or made to aid in playfield config setup.
  • Updated drone spawning. Now uses Zirax hoverdrones and gunships.
  • Added a Zirax patrol vessel guarding the Zirax drone base.
  • Added Xenu patrol vessels that patrol the planet in Zirax galactic territory. NOTE: this is currently bugged and sometimes the patrol vessels will spawn without a faction.

Misc:
  • Resource asteroids in asteroid fields (updated ones) now have a 3 day POI regeneration timer instead of 12 hours.
  • Updated poor quality asteroid fields in cold systems. Temporarily removed all other asteroid field types from cold systems.
  • Added Tungsten and Cobalt-Copper asteroids to asteroid fields.
  • Changed rock texture to snow texture on ice asteroids in asteroid fields.
  • Generic asteroid fields are now only found in colonists or neutral territory. In the future faction owned asteroid fields will be added back in.
  • Updated gas giant moon orbits.
  • Fixed broken Palladium deposits.
  • Increased chance for Trader faction to appear in neutral territory from 5% to 25%.
  • Increased chance for Xenu faction to appear in Zirax territory to 100%.
  • Added temporary placeholder POIs for new RG2 POI groups. These will spawn until updated or new POIs can be made and are being added to aid in POI spawn setup.
  • Hid Second Chances and Fuel Delivery missions. They will be replaced by something else later on in RE2 development.


Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Added more Xenu, Epsilon and Rados Planet Deco POIs.
  • Changed HV drills to drill mode 0 (will give XP, but excessive drill usage will cause FPS issues)
  • SV mechanical drills further reduced in mass by 200kg.
  • SV laser drills reduced in mass by 600kg.
  • Overhauled Flamethrower. (This is so much fun now. It sets EVERYTHING on fire)
  • The return of the HV Flamethrower. This is a Medium weapon.
  • Corrected HP of the non-retractable HV/SV laser turret.
  • Adjusted the damage multipliers of the Plasma Sword vs Doors, Grates, Sentry Guns and Devices so it can breach doors with 1 or 2 swings.
  • Sources of Carbon Substrate have been replaced with Graphite at the same ratio as iron, copper and silicon.
  • Graphite can be crafted into Carbon Substrate in the same way and ratio that iron, copper and silicon can be made into ingots.
  • Crushed Stone can be crafted into graphite in the same way that iron ore can be made from crushed stone.
  • Marketprices for graphite-based items and blocks adjusted for new values.
  • Platinum Plates can be smelted down in a Furnace into Platinum Ore.
  • Removed April Fools content.

  • Added test Polaris mining sites to the test system (Thanks to Ente for updated mining vessels). To get to them use console command sector TestAsteroidField or sector TestAsteroidField2. One has moving mining vessels, the other has static ones. Please test and give feedback.
  • Added Zirax asteroid fields to T2 habitable systems (F and A class stars). You can find them on the solar system map as a red asteroid field icon. Please check them out and leave feedback!
  • Added Rados Asteroid Mines.
  • Updated icon for Railgun Rifle (thanks to Vermillion).
  • Added new shield nullifier block for POIs to reduce their own shield strength.
  • Updated some more Project Eden market prices.
  • Increased visual size and collision of ore nuggets for Tungsten and Palladium ore.
  • Removed explosion effect from shuttle block shuttles that collide with something due to them sometimes colliding with other POIs.
  • Moved shuttle spawn point on shuttle blocks further out from the emitter base by 1 block to make them easier to place without having the shuttles be accidentally destroyed on spawn.
  • Replaced RG1 Abandoned POI group with RG2 version on all planets.
  • Added RG2 Colonist POIs to orbits and trade station sectors.
  • Added Slag that is obtained when mining custom ores and the game attempts to pick up the whole block. Avoids the random inventory full messages. Can be deconstructed for materials.
  • Updated dialogue for exploration site ExploreT1_1 to use new hacking variables.


Reforged Galaxy 2 Alpha:
  • Xenu Planet Deco POIs added to scenario. More will come.
  • Wood Logs can no longer be found in Harvest Boxes. Replaced by Graphite.
  • Increased the value of furniture commodities.
  • Added more missions to the Settlement NPC found on colonies and housing POIs.
  • Dedicated crew will ask to join the player upon completing a Settlement's mission set.
  • Bars such as Pax Purgatory, Totally Overpowered and The Rusty Barrel will sometimes give the option to hire a random dedicated crewmember upon completing their single mission.
  • Totally Overpowered and Pax Purgatory have 2 more possible missions added to their list.
  • QuantumStar traders can now be asked where to find Quantum Processors.
  • Fixed a bug where the Weapon Locker would throw an error when attempting to modify an Energy Rifle.
  • Added new Gravgens for CV/BA and HV/SV.
  • Removed Compact Gravity Generator now that there's a dedicated set.
  • Updated Polaris Com Relays with new gravgens and satellite dishes
  • Updated Communication Station with fixed teleporter target, removed sentry gun above the door and added two satellite dishes to the exterior.
  • Added ArkBank Teller to trader list for bank POIs in future.
