Report a translation problem
The remixes aren't on Youtube, but you can find the original soundtracks of the games on Youtube.
Although I'm sure previewing the tracks would also impact your data usage. It's generally more efficient on internet data usage to have the music downloaded (e.g. this mod) than to stream it
It is not a behavior that I can fix. You would have to ask SCS Software to do that. So I'm not giving a lazy excuse.
Maybe if you try the force_mods launch option it can work, but that disables the Mod Manager entirely, making it undesirable and I do NOT recommend it.

As for crashing your sim, it was most likely another mod or issue that caused that, because from my testing everything works fine.
