When the loading bar fills completely without starting, that means the load has failed. Most likely you have tried to start a game with more races than you have available.

You can choose up to 16 opponents (except on a few smaller galaxy types), but you should not choose more opponents than you have races unlocked. You need both the collector's edition and the RoA DLC to play with 13 opponents, and you need Mike's New Races to increase that to 16 (Be sure to load MNR after 5XCPC if you are using this with 5X!). The galaxy will fail to load if you try to play with more races than you have unique races available.

hello. thanks for your mod, but i cant start it :( the loading bar is full and nothing happens. i tried to wait some minutes but game was dead.

i deactivated all mods but its still not working

do you know a solution?

Things to check:
- Whether you have the DLCs for thegame or Mike's New Races. You can only play with the number of races you have available
- Your mod order. This mod should go at the bottom
- Whether you have the unofficial code patch installed. It resolves many game breaking issues but requires you run a manual installer after subscribing.

Subscribers note that Mike's New Races v3 has been released as a separate mod from v2, so you will need to unsubscribe from v2 and subscribe to v3 if you are using MNR to play with up to 16 opponents. The link is in the description or you can find it in the workshop. Version 3 is now fully compatible with 5X and should be loaded below 5XCPC. The order in which you put MNR and All AI + 5X Galaxies does not matter.

@solomani There is no code in place for random duplicate races, and that's beyond the capability of the modding system.

Curious; any reason why you cant do 16 even with 13 AI and just have duplicates? Essentially randomise the missing races.

(great mod btw, works well with the Gargantuan+ galaxies)

hmm i tested again and it looks like that maybe the bug is by Mike's New Races, so i make custom 3 more races then this works well(with 13 Players works this mode here very well and Mike's New Races is not needed)

For the diplomacy, there is a mod for more players called"[OBSOLETE] All AI Opponents" by raccoon. This mode make more players and the >diplomacy field work< BUT!, this mode dont work with the "5X modes" by Spud Dastardly. And also the game freezes if u only use the mode from raccoon(looks like not finished).

But is there a Gamer who can create from the "[OBSOLETE] All AI Opponents" the diplomacy field and fix the issue so we could play with 16 Opponents with "5X modes"?

This mod is not perfect and causes bugs with diplomacy because the game isn't built for more than 9 opponents.

i tested i with modes without modes only with this mod. with different game optoins etc. etc. etc. and if i take 13 enemys it dont start if i choose 12 it starts no idea why

yes short stop before start. i testet it. if i choose 12 player i works with different modes but if i use more then 12 enemy players it dont start and load and load load.

i start a game and nothing happens... load load load. i tested it many times to get, that this mods is the problem not the others. So please tell me what can i do that the game could start and i can play.

I doubt it. Just make sure to include it into the next update.

Another thing i did notice: mods use diffrent headers in their translation files.
Some call the second column "column" other call is "reserved" and another has it empty, or some have "Portuguese" in there while others write "Portuguese(Brazil)" or even "portuguese [brazil]".
This causes no problem at all (as long as the number of columns match), i think they way the game integrates the new localisation keys is just process them by index, not by header key (case-sensitive errors would only appear on Linux and Mac).
I would still recommend using the official header, that can be seen in the original game files (like ...\MasterOfOrion_Data\StreamingAssets\Localization\Backend\Advise.csv ).

And before i forget it: Thanks for your works. I remember i could not start a Brobdingnagian game in the past. But now it seems to work just fine (after i figured out to correctly update the UCP). :D

Thanks for reporting that. It's not generating the output log error for me, but I see the error on that line, so I've deleted it. Since it doesn't affect anything, I'm not sure it's worth an update though.

i just stumbled upon an error in the "Localization 5X Galaxies.csv" file, which caused an exception if the game loads it (still the game runs fine, but you can see it in the "output_log.txt").
At the end of line 25, there is an additional line 26 (GRID_GALAXY_SIZE_MASSIVE).
I guess it is some older translation, which slipped while copy&pasteing over.
I deleted that, and it causes no exception anymore.

Besides installing the unofficial code patch there's not much you can do. Turn times are significantly shorter on smaller galaxies.

Ok, I managed to reproduce it on a brobdingnagian galaxy. Once the loading bar gets to 100% the load has failed. It's failing because it's having trouble placing all of the civs within a certain travel distance. I managed to fix it in my own fail case. Can you tell me your seed number and galaxy setup options (planet density, minor civs, antarans, etc) so I can check the fix on your case?

Ok so I tried to run it on the following galaxy sizes: all whit 8 ai and rest on default settings

"Brodingnagian" loading screen ran to 95% then spend 4-5mins and hit 100%, and then nothing happened game dident crash or stopped responding so i left it there, after 20mins I alt+f4ed the game.

"Gargantuan" spend about 3 mins hanging at 95% loading but worked.

Any thing smaller then "Brodingnagian" seams to work, maybe "Brodingnagian" also work but just need very long load time(longer than 26min)?

Did you read the notes in the description? Did you set the game up with more races than you have available, or maybe the loading bar stopped before the end, which means it still needed to work for a couple minutes, but you force quit it before it could?

This mod does not require the extra races. You can use it to play on a larger galaxy as long as you don't play with more opponents than you have available to play with.

Is there any Nebulas in this mod? I dont know what it would look like, reason im asking is cause of the Hard shields ability of keeping the shields up inside a nebula and I thought it would be cool to have the same nebula extend multiple star systems =D just a suggestion

I have been playing with the mod of a few games now. one thing not sure if it's the mod causing it or not but for some reason even with a fleet 10X stronger than the space Amoeba i am unable to kill it. Friends are saying they had had the same problem. Ideas?

I am updating this mod tomorrow, January 15 at the same time as Split Tech Tree. I do not anticipate this update breaking any save files, but it will give a "mod configuration has changed" message that you can ignore. The update will implement 5X v5.0 galaxy changes and provide support for Mike's New Races.

If the loading bar stops short of being full, then it is still working. If it fills all the way, then the load has failed. I have tested that size on this version, and it worked for me.

Has anyone tried the Brobdingnagian circle size with 5.0.1? It did not generate after an hour (with my older computer). For reference it took only 2 minutes for a massive circle and gargantuan took 11 minutes.
I'm only using 5x and 'all ai + galaxy' mods

After reviewing this mod more carefully, there is a slight issue with the new scanner range settings. The only issue is that sometimes even with a space scanner you can't see ships in the same system if they are on the opposite side. It's a very minor issue, but I will update to fix it soon.
