@DudeCorner - Do you mean that it's a big tech to build? This is literally the smallest compressed crafting system design possible. Although you can use communal (large) silos for resource storage, if you want to reduce the number of scrappers.

Or do you mean that crafting blocks takes a long time? Again, this compact layout of component factories is fairly close to optimal for crafting times. Provided it's used correctly, with all scrappers stocked up.

You can get a crafting AI bug, if you've added the fabricators before the component factories, though. That will block exotic component crafting most the time time. So always make sure to remove, then re-attach the fabricators (of any crafting tech) before using it.

i actually found this base in my campaign quite awhile before i even knew it was a thing lol but i do have to say there is 1 thing that bothered me but its just because of my own personal taste with fabrication/scrapping bases needing to work fast so im trying my best to modify it with 2 lanes :) hope your not insulted by my choice?

Thanks @Liquid Monkey, that's very validating.:sfsmile: Although I didn't expect this Component Factory setup to be so near optimal for crafting higher end item's, too. Kinda disappointing, heh. (Although I do still have addition bulk crafter designs up my sleeve.)

(Your name is somewhat familiar, by the way, but I guess you didn't used to go by the name "Liquid Ape" in Lord of Ultima, years ago...?)

I spent nearly 20 hours trying to build the perfect crafting setup, using this as a reference. I cannot improve upon perfection. I now run 3 of these pumping out all of the blocks I need, with no added lag. Awesome!

@Electr1cLASer - you certainly can just swap out the scrappers on this tech for GeoCorp, yes.

It's not much of an improvement in capacity, oddly, because just one GeoCorp resource block hovering above them gets in the way of being able to click more in, manually. So you'd have to refill the scrappers just as often, but it takes fewer clicks.

I do have a 170mph Venture craft (basically 20 Zero Propellers lashed together inside a GSO shield/repair bubble).

But the best way to do it would be to take an 'AI' plane that is self stabalising (via hover tricks) and just leave it flying AFK (with shift pressed down).

Flying a really long way would make for a cool time lapse, but I'm not sure what my viewers would make of doing this just for the sake of it. (I mean, there's nothing inherently different about far away, once you're over about 5km from 0,0.)

maybe you could try get to 1 000 000, 1 000 000 in youre next video, that would be super cool! im trying to make a super fast stable plane but i want over 175mph but got 140mph, but im still happy and think it would be cool if you did it ;)

i didn't see it before now but i meant made and not mage xD and im getting pretty close to get this now :) now im using a little good tech ive put in the workshop if you guys wanto try it, i think youll like it ZeroGravitas :steamhappy:

Thanks. I put a fair bit of thought into it, to be a simple, usable start point for Compact Fabrication System crafters. More high end versions to come, beyond the already formidable "CFS Godzilla". If the game's crafting AI can handle it...

@Façade - it definitely doesn't get stuck. I showed it crafting Avalanche launchers in the video (they have Seed AIs in them). And actually explain the minimum Component Factory requirements in a tutorial at 20m12s https://youtu.be/NwX5D9VzMrM?t=20m12s

this would definatly get stuck makeing any part with exotic components I have done some testing and the only way to auto craft exotic components is with 7 factories: 1 exotic, 1 complex, 2 advanced (can share dongle), and 3 basic
