have run into an issue again and again and again where the mod sends a BDU report of a convoy, gives course, speed, and i calculate the intercept, get there and theres nothing there.. i dont think i have ever actually intercepted an actual boat that was based on information from this mod...

It seems a lot of people are reporting that this no longer works but whatever setup I have still works, or maybe I'm just lucky. Does anyone know how to clean up the journal entries this mod creates? I'm just worried about it getting a bit long and cluttered, no actual problems yet.

This seems to be broken at the moment, I can't start a patrol in a brand new game when this is activated, speed dial never gets enabled after selecting the patrol.

I tried deactivating mod after mod until I could start the patrol again and I finally came to this one.

This mod causes an issue with shop and other mods being broken when it's loaded. May be a compatibility with another mod issue, but that's how it is for me anyways.

@Mr. Silver you can edit the ranges in the settings. Theres a pinned tutorial the kind ii has provided for us. There is even a setting for frequency of reports.. :shcscribe:

Pretty cool mod but man I find some myself getting annoyed to the point of turning it off because there's just too many reports. Seems like its one after another after another. It makes the game unrealistic because you then end up intercepting all these convoys being reported and by the time you've gone home (2 weeks) you've sunk like 20 ships. The most ever sunk in real life on a single patrol was 14 and that was certainly not in a 2 week time frame. Lot of words to say for realism junkies this adds a little too much cheese. Less reports and it'd be perfect.

A very nice mod in principle, but what kind of ruins it for me is that you will eventually start getting reports of ships you have already sunk, moving at 0 knots in the direction they were headed before sinking. If you sink more than 5 ships in the North Sea, for example, you will mostly start getting reports of sunk ships. The aircraft additions make the mod worth installing, though.

It's not really important, but you did not add descriptions for the added airbases. If you hover your mouse on one in the map, it says (for exemple) "Trondheim Værnes description"

@Wolf if you want to add the mod to your ongoing career you can but then the mod will not include German air patrols but the reports and such will work

Hi! Sorry, it is going to be a dumb question, since you stated this is not Savegame compatible,
but was there anyone who made it work on an existing career? :D

For example, deleting all cache/sheets/temp files I believe would not be enough,
but there is some mods that let you reload certain datasheets, etc.? Did someone managed to make this work somehow on an existing save? :D XD

(I like this one career a lot :D)

Perhaps my most anticipated mod update now (along with UBE). The vanilla uboat messages are just too frequent and I would love to disable/ limit them (couldn't find the option in the datasheets). Anyway, I know all you proper modders are busy wrestling with the new template. GL!

Is it possible to hide the contact on the map after a short time? Vanilla reports are on the map for a short time then they disappear. But the contact of the mods report will be shown on my map now for three days. I shouldn´t be able to see the position of the contact all the time.

Great mod , But somehow I never know if it is enabled or disabled. What should I see when I want ther reports to be enabled ? WHen I click on radio guy I know have option to DISABLE reports , so does this mean that reports now are enabled ?

Great mod as always. I would also like to see a setting in xslx that allows you to remove reports about small groups of ships and leave only reports about large convoys. I remember that in earlier versions some guy told me in discord how this could be done, but through editing code of mod.

I have the dependencies but I do not get the radio room “disable reports” icon in the wheel, and I get no reports, so I imagine it is not for patch 21 yet.

I had an issue similar to @dzlockhead. I subscribed to this mod as part of a collection, but the collection author didn't include this mod's dependencies in the collection. Gotta be careful with that kinda stuff ig :/

Fix for below if anyone has the same issue I had, turns out, I've been subbed to this mod for so long, that I wasn't aware additional dependencies were added, originally it was only custom actions. Make sure you add them and that got it to work.

@kretze the coordinates in the report are that of the sighted convoy or ship. Report time is when the report is received by the submarine but the report is generated at the same time, so the time & position are matching. For simplicity sake the reports are always generated on the hour.

The position in the report should be relatively precise, with some error range normally represented by the red circle thing. But this is always going to be a lot lower than the 80 km or thereabouts your pictures are showing. I don't know where this is coming from. I have noticed that when you teleport around the map (for testing purpose) the seems to be a bigger error in position of groups and actual entities in the latest version of game as compared to before. If you teleport to where the groups is shown you use to be pretty much into it and now most of the time the group is actually some distance away but not 80 km away.

I noticed something in the last 2 reports. the report coordinates deviate from the actual positions.

Which position is transmitted in the reports, that of the reporting submarine or that of the sighted ship / convoy?
Or is the reporting time from the submarine incorrect in the report?
The report time from the submarine is the time at which the report was received.
