Your game will run better in fullscreen mode. It's why they have it as the primary option and not borderless as the primary option. The reason it's faster is because for each frame the program needs to make one less check at least. Multiply that by how many frames you get per second and you reduce output delay from what the game is registering to what you're actually seeing.
