On a more serious note: This mod has no effect on your dancer thralls whatsoever.. however the vanilla game has a bug regardless of any mods where dancers sometimes get stuck doing nothing, you can fix them by opening the radial menu on them and going to emotes then selecting Clear emote which will reset them to their default dancing emote.
"If you download the devkit though, you can make a simple custom mod that adds the music of your choice to it, there's a tutorial video for that as well above."

Even the 30m is pushing it a bit, with greater ranges you would start experiencing issues since that's going to be past render range for a lot of people. And if the barrel despawns on their client due to being too far, then ofc any sounds coming from it would also stop.
What you need for large areas is an actual map edit and a proper sound level for the entire zone, it's not something you can solve with placeables unfortunately.
I think you're confusing copyrighted music with music that's being actively scanned for by content ID bots. Something can be copyrighted and you can still be allowed to use it without issues :)
Music in this mod is owned by Funcom, as long as you're playing Conan Exiles you will be fine, if you rip the music from it and use it for a totally unrelated video then ofc you might get issues, but these songs aren't being actively scanned for so you will never get auto-flagged.. it's videogame music.
The 2 songpacks I have for this mod as a separate addon, one of them contains songs by Alexander Nakarada.. He does have monitoring for them and the bot looks for the attribution in the description, but since you're not planning on doing a music-only stream even that will leave you alone almost certainly
The other song-pack has original songs by HDR, those won't be auto-flagged either.
I love every track and play it in my taverns every time. But as soon as I start a stream or video I have to take it off. Perhaps you can point this out in the description that some tracks are copyrighted.
There are also 2 standalone music packs released by me for this mod. You should be fine with those too for the most part, especially the HDR ones, since he specifically composed those songs for this mod.
The previous version of the mod can be downloaded from the discord server #old-versions channel in case your server admin didn't update the mod yet resulting in you getting locked out with a mod mismatch error (server and client versions need to be identical)
There is a workaround for that situation specifically though, the only thing I can think of is that if you have lots of mods / the game is on a slower HDD then the barrel ends up loading after the fix tries to counteract it. In any case, you can solve it simply by walking close to it and then away.
You just spawn it from the admin panel (make sure to spawn the v2) and place it as any normal placeable, that's it.
Also, the barrel is set up to account for this to some degree, when you go sufficiently close the audio will shift to being 2D so you don't have any weird positional effects if you're standing close to it. (basically the source is more of a larger radius globe than a point)
Background music is 2D audio and it doesn't have a positional source, it's like listening to spotify :) so it's normal you wouldn't notice anything like this there.
Now if you have anything other than this and the music sounds like it's missing some of the dynamic range etc, then you might have some weird 3D effects enabled in your audio driver, should take a look at that in that case.
It's almost as if the audio of the game runs 7.1 sound on a 5.1 system without side channels. So whenever I turn with the sides pointed directly at the barrel, the music gets so quiet it's almost muted. Every other angle is fine. So it's as if the side channels were missing. Strangely enough this doesn't really happen with the background effect.
To clarify, this happens only with headphones. On my speakers (5.1) everything seems normal. This issue is present with Spatial Sound on or off. Makes no difference.

If you are a modder and you wish to add more songs / background loops then join the discord and check out the #mod-api channel"
