Yowza, wotta map! Very challenging., but happy as a clam because A. I finally solved one of your "code riddles", and B. I reached the exit (although I didn't do that exactly as intended).

Thank you so much for testing.

Excelent map:; except that new button/trigger, which is new to me (and iI had to see the video solution, because I couldn´t solved it) /spoiler] , he portaling is very good, and the last move is very good.

I agree, the numbers move much to slowly but there is nothing I can do about that. That's how hammer is designed. I tried everything to make it go faster but nothing worked.

Thanks for playing.

I decided to save figuring out the code for last, but eventually I managed to fling to the exit without lowering the obstacle fence, so I didn't need to do the code. I managed that fling by using the fact that many portalable surfaces are reachable when they should be obstructed. Still, if they were, I might not know what the intended solution is, and I like my solution fine. And about the code: it's frustrating when I have to wait 3 seconds just to increment one number. that "final dome" map had the same issue.

Thank you so much for playing and thanks for the feedback.

:p2blue:Here:p2orange: is the most convoluted, thorough, playthrough that you'll probably ever see of this puzzle.

Feedback 1: Maybe instead of the "vitrified" door you could have a "bread crumb" there for the "dartboard" combination lock.

Feedback 2: Couldn't you use an actual button instead of the misleading "AA" button?

Feedback 3: Hands down, you have an amazing attention to detail when it comes to the "underground" theme. :p2cube::p2chell:

I'm in the middle of replaying the original Portal 2 and had to think of you because your chambers look just like the originals! Same vents, grates, lighting... Despite what my friends say, Hammer is tough, and I wish I had your skills (and patience:) What's cool is that the people who follow you/comment are some of the more advanced/dedicated players, and they rarely miss a thing. I'm glad you're just taking a break because you know how it is... you think of a cool bit of logic and run for the sketchbook ... and designing is hard to resist:)

Personally, I've pulled my maps and am redesigning them. I'm too short on time for Hammer, so I'm building a User Created Package for BEE2 with great skyboxes, railings, and Art Therapy elements. That way, when I have a good idea, I can bang it out. I enjoy that you add bits of unique logic to your maps, and I like the turn-around maze feel - it is unique and unlike anyone else's maps.

me too lol!
Andi  [author] 15 Feb, 2023 @ 10:46pm
@jandlml I'm happy you solved it.

@nispiegel Well, woke up one morning and I had an idea for this chamber and it took off from there. As far as the trap door. It's there to help you to get the speed gel on the runway and the bounce on the trap door. You don't have to use it, it's simply an aid.
Kraken 15 Feb, 2023 @ 8:30pm
@jandlml - my thoughts exactly, LOL. You beat me by 10 minutes.

Another terrific level, Andi!! I don't know how you keep coming up with these. Question: was the trap door switch, before the final jump a red herring?
jandlml 15 Feb, 2023 @ 8:15pm
oh boy finally got it lol you would think i would be better at this kind of thing by now. lol
Andi  [author] 15 Feb, 2023 @ 7:42pm
The boards on the main walkway have a division in them. Make sure that the speed gel completely covers that board. It doesn't matter if it partially covers the next board, it fact it actually helps. But don't try make the jump with those boards only, You'll fall short every time. You need a longer runway and you already made it.
jandlml 15 Feb, 2023 @ 6:46pm
i dont know why but i cant make the final fling. i try it with the poral in different positions, i try jumping through or just running through. not getting there i miss it by a millimeter
Andi  [author] 15 Feb, 2023 @ 6:23pm
Congratulations, I'm GLaD you solved it, Thanks for playing.
jandlml 15 Feb, 2023 @ 6:00pm
finally got it went counterclockwise and it worked
jandlml 15 Feb, 2023 @ 5:49pm
the 20 is at the top when it is in its original place
jandlml 15 Feb, 2023 @ 5:48pm
i even printed out directions on how to score ok im really lost i dont have any x at the top when i turn the board 90 degrees clockwise the 21 is because the x lands on the 7 which is also a triple score so 7 x3 is 21
Andi  [author] 15 Feb, 2023 @ 1:22pm
That is very kind of you to say and yes, I spend a lot of time adding details but it mostly goes unnoticed. It's great to hear that you did notice the detail. The last 3 chambers I designed, (this one included) has very few plays and I was thinking about quitting mapping altogether but because of your comment, I may continue after all. However, I do need a break from mapping.

Again, thank you for your comment, you don't know how much I needed to hear that and I'm GLaD you enjoyed it.
SkyGlass 15 Feb, 2023 @ 11:53am
Wow, this is beautiful, and it looks like you enjoyed designing it because it is a work of art. The details are awesome (like the original game), and the feeling of being turned around within the various sections is great (my favorite part of your puzzle designs.) It's a bit of an unknown why so many great maps only get played a few times? I look forward to seeing your future maps, and thanks for the fun:)
Andi  [author] 13 Feb, 2023 @ 7:57pm
I'm not sure where you got 21 and 27. They don't exist on a dart board. 25 does in the outer ring surrounding the bullseye. If you turn the board 90 degrees counter-clockwise, then 20 would be at the top. There is an X in the inner circle so that would be 60. The other 7 X's would be scored according. The 90 degree offset is to throw player off. I'm not sure if that helps but let me know.
jandlml 13 Feb, 2023 @ 7:27pm
these are the numbers i used 2 4 13 17 9 21 25 27
jandlml 13 Feb, 2023 @ 7:15pm
118
Andi  [author] 13 Feb, 2023 @ 7:01am

Andi  [author] 12 Feb, 2023 @ 10:56pm
@jandlml Out of curiosity, what score did you get?
Andi  [author] 12 Feb, 2023 @ 10:55pm
@jandlml I tripled checked to make sure the score was correct, however, I make mistakes... a lot.

Try this, take the image and rotate the opposite way, then score it.
Andi  [author] 12 Feb, 2023 @ 10:52pm
@ quatrus Thanks so much, This is, (in my opinion) my best work, unfortunately, no one will ever know because very very few people are playing it. Thanks for being one of the ten who tested it though.
jandlml 12 Feb, 2023 @ 3:19pm
i just cant figure out what im doing wrong. i looked up how to score darts so im doing what the said. i rotated the board 90 degrees,it still isnt working.
jandlml 12 Feb, 2023 @ 2:39pm
yes we did maybe miss counted i will try again
quatrus 12 Feb, 2023 @ 11:59am
Thanks for the walkthrough - if paint the wrong color and wrong place I ended up having to go back and start over. Brilliant work though. Impressive. Thanks for creating
Andi  [author] 11 Feb, 2023 @ 10:36pm
You're on the right track. Did you happen to notice the symbol on the lower left? Follow the instructions and then add up the score.
jandlml 11 Feb, 2023 @ 9:05pm

jandlml 11 Feb, 2023 @ 8:49pm
